Can someone please tell me why we dont have the option for a centerline Drop Tank or bomb for the F4U?  I mean...i dont like sacrificing a bomb for extra fuel.  And i know that Corsairs carried a Centerline.  So..someone fill me in on this...

F4U-1 and F4U-1A have centerline bombs/tanks.

The other model Corsairs (F4U-1D, F4U-1C, F4U-4) have twin hard points.

Ok...I know that.  But why dont they have it on the -1D and -4? They were both modeled to carry the 2 bombs + the centerline DT or bomb.  so why not here?

From what I understand, the centerline stores provision was removed from the -4. However, the -1C/D did still have it.

And I've been asking for the centerline 2000lber option for a couple months now (that, and to fix the bloody gunsight so it's not so dammed small!).

Probably for the same reason the F6F doesn't have the option for centerline and bombs... They elected not to model it.

Would be nice, especially as the F6F can't carry bombs and a drop tank... It's always bombs OR drop tank.

Well...ain't that something!! It's not on here cuz they didn't WANT to.  Lol.  It would be very nice if they modeled them into the game.  Then i can make longer attack flights in the planes i love to fly:)
