So this morning I am in my 152...
I dive at a con from behind... getting faster and faster....
at 500mph I am lining up the shot.... he is AFK and it should have been easy... but my gunnery sux...
Said speed has made my old girl rather sluggish and I collide moments after filling his tail with 20 and 30 mm ammo
I am sitting there considering telling the pilot oops for the collision but i dont even get to the hanger when he PM's me with
"Nice collision moron"
and five seconds later
"F IDOT"
so I reply that was it was an accident and that the controls are a bit sluggish at 500mph... I then squelch and report him...
Now to the HTC gang, I come to your game for fun, to destress and disconnect from the world for a while... if i wanted to deal with a child having a tantrum cause i collided whilst I shot them down then I would have my 8 yearold sign up, take off then send him to his room...
I dont tune to 200 for this exact reason. So please in the very near future add the option to block all PM's
If i have to deal with this sort of crap then there is no reason for me to play aces high... i come here for fun not for little babies throwing tantrums...

100% agreed!
There are nights where I would like a "squad only" radio option - block everything else.
I have no problem with what people want to say or write on the radio, I just want the option to not participate.
Edit - second thought: But I guess I almost can do that if I tune all channels to squad channel - except for the PM thing as Mussie stated...
-
Absolutely 100% agree.
The original "All" channel was removed because of excessive problems with chat. The players voted to use 200 as a substitute and we've failed to police ourselves.
PMs only make things worse.

ahh no mussie you got it all wrong...
a 'FIDOT' is a netchild's term of endearment, i wish i could be called a FIDOT every once in a while.
and 'moron' is also thier term for 'friend'
really the PM said this:
"Your collision was most impressive and very well timed, my friend."
"Fidot!" ("we are friends now?)

Hi Bat,
To me - you are considered a FIDOT and one of the biggest morons in this game!
:aok
Man - I'm getting good at this language :)

100% concur. PM's are getting out of hand.
That said, here's a short story. A couple of nights ago I was on NDIsles. We had the East side of the map and the Rooks had taken the south base on our main island. I thought... what better time to go fly a 163 so I upped.
I'm climbing out and spotted a couple of planes going at it above me and a little way out. As I approached I saw that the enemy con was a 262 and, as soon as he saw me he dove for the deck in a run. I took chase.
At first I was running at about 90% throttle but as I wasn't catching him I opened it up. He dragged me over that captured field but I never even took a ping from the ack.
Now we're over water headed for the nearest island. I thought about breaking off but I was close to him and closing slowly plus I have a lot of perks and 163's were only like 35 perks or something so I kept the pressure on.
As he dragged me through the ack at the next base out I was within 600 and opened fire just as my fuel went dry. I glided in pursuit for a few minutes then dropped flaps, cranked in the rudder and ditched. He was turning back to me by this point and got a proxie.
Next thing I know I get a PM "That was stupid".
I PM back "But it was fun making you run like a schoolgirl".
It ended up that we had a very nice conversation over PM about 262's and 163's.
My only thought afterward was why would someone who actually seems to be a very nice person want to come off as such a jerk on PM?

Mussie! You're back, mate!
Excellent.
Hope to see you around soon mate.
The Raw Prawns would be happy to have you, if you'd care to join us or simply just fly with us on channel.

Unless things have changed you can block PM's by the dot command .squelch 6
Channel 6 is the PM channel.

.squelch 6 squelches the kill messages. Usually the first thing I type into the text buffer.

I thought ch 6 was the help channel?

Only thing I have against this is I sometimes like to PM someone and say good fight, good flying or give them some pointers. If they have PMs blocked they most likely have 200 off so the only way I could communicate with them would be .s and I don't feel that accomplishes what I would want to say.
