DC-3 type rating?  That'd be sweet.  3 day program, get some left seat time in one of those beautiful birds....

Beleive it or not but I have a "little" stick time in the left seat of a DC-3.

Happened when I was about 10. Family and I were on a trip and the pilots knew my dad who was a pilot also. I was invited to sit in the captains seat while he went to the head. Had my hands on the wheel and everything. I believe autopilot must have been engaged though.

I have loved the DC-3 ever since.

My Dad flew PBY's in Philippines in WW2, flew DC3's for a living in the '50's...I think he liked DC3 better than PBY
