Since I have been playing this game for a while now I have learned alot of good information about squadrons pilots & other general information. So a thought came to mind (yes it happens from time to time) when you go to select a skin for a plane that there was a section where you could look at a bio of that very plane, where it served did it get shot down, bio's of the crews, or even pictures of pilots maybe. Since so many kids play this game now they may as well learn some history as well. Any way just a thought.

Not a bad idea at all.

I like the Idea! :aok

This is an area wide open for AH players to step up.
Like the skins themselves it would take a tremendous amount of HTC employees time to dig up this info. If however the skinners can provide the info, its possible HT can find a way to code it into the game. (Like the speed/climb charts)
If that can be done, yes I'd say you have a winner of an idea. :)

:aok Great idea! HTC make it happen :D

every skin sent in to the game has to have its infomaton sent in with it.
when i do it i send in website adresses and include if possiable origional photos in the info file.
maybe this info file could be adjusted or added to to provide the information

The problem I see here is that the available information is so variable.
In the case of the Spitfire IX I skinned for AH, I was able to find good records of its squad assignments, dates etc... I know the plane survived the war, because the airframe is still in flight..
But when you start talking about pilots, in the case of RAF aircraft that can be nearly impossible. Information I've been able to dig up shows that aircraft in the RAF were just equipment... They didn't go with any specific pilot. Pilots had their preferences, and sometimes they got the same plane regularly... but they didn't have any kind of 'ownership'.
There were no personal marks (or very few)... You didn't see names on the planes... They just carried the squad markings.
So, in the case of that specific Skin, all the information I know was provided to HTC and basically is included in the information you see in the hanger in AH. The only thing you don't see is the transfer history..
Just depends widely plane to plane and air force to air force. There isn't much consistancy.
