Two questions on things that seem to have changed.
It used to be as long as you were 5 to 6 k away from any cons you could safely land your GV. Seems since a update or two back GV landings are flaky and many times end in ditch where they didn't before.
So what the deal at landing a GV now in enemy territory? I just lost the landing on a crap load of kills and the perks on a Sherman landing at a enemy base but well over 6k away from any cons.
So is there any safe way to land a GV inside a enemy dar now days?
Now a question on FH's. It used to be even if the spawn hanger FH was down, you could still get a plane out of it. Lately I have noticed that that's no longer true for many bases. Is this going to be fixed?
No complaints just asking the questions.

I still land safely anywhere on map, including near & on enemy bases, if no enemy is around.
And as long at least one FH is up, you can still roll, regardless of status of spawning hangar.

And yet, I can still get ditches trying to land on concrete in friendly towns.
And I've done what crockett is talking about. The spawn hanger is blown up, try to spawn in the hanger (i.e. hit "H"), and you hit something as you roll out, knocking off your wing and landing gear. I haven't done it in a while, but I've done it. (And yes, I am one of those goobs with auto-takeoff enabled, so I know I didn't "move" into the side of the hanger.)

Well, as I was rollin out of 2 or 3 destroyed hangars lately, I assume it's a kind of bug maybe related to specific bases or planes. In that case you should send in a film, or post at least a bug description in the appropriate forum including map name & field.

The hanger thing is not always true lately. I do not remember the map or the base but I repeatedly tried to up from the hanger (it was destroyed) and there was a beam blocking the way. As I rolled out of the hanger I was tossed up into the air about the height of the hanger and landed on my tail. This happened every time I tried to up from that hanger.
Looking back I wish I could remember the map and field :(

The damaged hangar spawn has been an issue for quite some time. I posted about it in January, but there was no response. It's been going on for 9 or 10 months now, so I'm guessing that it's actually a "feature".

Yesterday I tried to up from destroyed hangar and did have that
collied with "something" problem too.
After 1st try I did try again and saw that there was beam blocking the way
on left side of door way. So you just have to use rudder to get out from
right side of door way and there you go...
Just can't remember map name or base... :(

I've tried turning the plane around the hanger and it doesn't seem to work anymore. (maybe it depends on the plane) I know I used to be able to do it. As for now something has changed because I can no longer get the plane out of the hanger if it's down.
I've noticed it on the TT map but I think it happens on others as well. I think it happens when it's the black FH's not the silver ones.
I remember when I first started playing there were complaints about the hangers, then they were fixed. Or at least I never had any more problems with it, until the last update or so. Then I started seeing it happen again.
As for the tank landings, I'd really like to know what's up with that. I was at A24 on the TT map yesterday I had spawned in from A25. When I went away to go land I drove well past the spawn at that base. Was no cons anywhere close to me, but I still didn't get the successful landing.
It seems to me GV landings as of late are a hit or miss thing..

Ok, I just did some offline tests. It's related to hangar and plane size.
From a destroyed small fighter hangar (silver hangar on small fields), I roll every plane just fine.
From a destroyed large fighter hangar (black hangar on large fields), some planes hit parts of the hangar. For example I was able to roll a P-51, but not a P38 - the larger wing collided with debris.

Game needs a safe landing zone at the arrow spawn points to end this problem.
The defensive gvs can always drive back to the runway and land regardless of enemies near. Why not the attacking gvs?
Planes always have a 5 minute flight to a safe landing regardless of enemies near.

I agree with all of your opinions, although they may conflict.
