it seems that our cousins to the north are somewhat upset over the discovery of some two hundred and fifty illegal mexicans living in windsor, ontario. I caught a sound bite on fox but haven't heard anything further. what gives canuks? I was under the impression you guys were all about tolerance or some such notion.

Yeah, a bunch of tards in the southern US were selling Canadian refugee docs to gullible illegals. These docs are readily available for free. Anyways, these illegals are probably going to be sent back. We already let a ****load of legitimate refugees into this country.

the sudden influx all started back in late august, some guy from the jerusalem haitian community and a few others in florida were charging them $400 a head, loading them up by the bus load and sending them north promising easy access into canada.
the mayor of windsor went down to fla to checkout wtf was going on. now he is calling the feds out to pay up, the city has footed the entire bill and they're only required to pay 20% of the cost of the emergency housing etc...
that said... it's a minor local issue with the ongoing provincial elections.
how did fox news play it up for the sheeples tho... was there a refried yellow cake innuendo?

Torque, I was at the pompano beach building dept when they (fox news) did the blurb but the knee jerk reaction was everyone chuckled at the same time. funny stuff the canadians whining and looking for uncle sugar to help foot the bill for the now twice illegal border crossers.
this story reminds me of a neighbor I used to have. I had a nice doberman pinscher which we took good care of. we had a nice lawn and garden which we also took care of. we mow our lawn twice a week in the hot summer and weekly during the lesser summer. we employed a spraying service to treat our lawn for bugs, fungi, fertilize etc. one day as I'm out in the yard the neighbor calls me over to the fence, we exchange pleasantries then he informs me that my fleas were crossing over into his yard and getting on his cats. this gave me a big grin, as I looked at my neighbor to see if he was pulling my leg I could see that he was being quite serious. at that point I explained to him that once the fleas crossed the fence they were now his fleas and to have a nice day.
enjoy your mexicans be nice to them they really are mostly nice folks. have a nice day.

Yeah, that's what I read last week as well. Windsor has blown it's emergency shelter money on this and they were asking our feds to cough up, which in my books they should. This isn't a local issue, it's a national border issue.

I read about this years ago as well. We get tons of migrant workers up here. We document them, give them good salaries and benefits, then they go home.

Canada's got it way too easy.
They fall under our umbrella of protection strictly by virtue of their location, and yet get to enjoy the comforts of near total globally irrelevancy.
Sort of like a live-in pool-boy whose air-conditioned shack is out of the reach of local neighborhood egg-throwers.
I think it's time they started paying a tax. Thanks for the Canada Arm, though.

So I assume Canada doesn't have any crops that require manual labor, no one there has a lawn that needs to be cut, and there is no construction going on.
Mexicans excel at those jobs and are much cheaper than hiring your own countrymen, or atleast that's how it works in the States

Oh, and Neubob, thanks for the blanket of protectioon, I guess having a bunch of Canadian soldiers over in Afghanistan (some of them are friends of mine) does not mean anything to you. Have fun in Iraq, hope it works out well for you. Did you get those WMD's yet? I think your blanket needs to be washed, it's starting to smell funky.

That statement is laughable. I have worked with the Canadian Armed forces. Your nations military is laughable. They were lazy, unmotivated and lacked proper training. The ONLY thing the Canadian armed forces has going for it, are their sniper teams. Some of the best shooters in the world have come out of Canadian. Other than that and pulling AO security for American forces in Afghanistan, you guys basically, suck.
As for the question someone posed about the Mexicans now living in Canada learning French, I doubt they will learn French. They come here and don't bother to learn English, so why would they treat Canada any different?
The illegals that come here are nothing more than parasites of our society. They should be rounded up and sent back. It would cost less than supporting them with our hard paid tax dollars. Our system was not designed to handle the strain of a bunch of non tax paying dead beats, using the hell out of the system.

Really? So then you were in Afghanistan? From what I have saw of the Canadian military so far, that is my assessment. Canadians getting lost on simple patrols? Failing to have the proper equipment, so they were unable to go on patrols. Broken equipment due to lack of maintness.
Head over to Paratrooper.net and tell them how great the Canadian army is. Maybe when you were in things where different. Maybe I worked with a sloppy group. Who knows, but like I said. After working with them, my assessment of them is that they are lazy, unmotivated and untrained.
If you can offer up cases that are different, then I am all ears. I have a lot of friends in Canada. It has nothing to do with Canada. It has to do with lazy unmotivated troops that could get guys killed. If it were an American unit I would be saying the same thing. Don't take it personal.
