Hummm, I wonder if they could light up a Confederate battle flag on the building somehow?  If they wanted to?  To celebrate Confederate history month (April.)

Wiki says:

Confederate History Month is a holiday declared annually by several governmental entities in the Southern United States. It is based on remembering the history of the Confederate States of America.

The designation is traditionally made for the month of April.

Those of Confederate descent feel that no race should be offended by the Confederacy "Those who served the Confederacy came from many races and religions," wrote Calvin Johnson Jr. a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. "There was Irish born General Patrick R. Cleburne, black Southerner Amos Rucker, Jewish born Judah P. Benjamin, Mexican born Colonel Santos Benavides and American Indian General Stand Watie who was born in Rome, Georgia."

No s***?  Wiki is quite profound.

I wonder if it says anything about Martin Luther King day being about remembering Martin Luther King?

Doesn't the ESB light up for a lot of different occasions?  I think it's just something to do for them, without a lot of political decision making going into it.  After thinking about this for a second, I see nothing wrong with it.  Probably will look nice downtown.
