For the past two or so weeks I have been getting disco's just out of the blue. Something I noticed, but not sure if it is related is that when I go to log back in, the cap for that arena is higher/lower than it was. I have checked all my settings and even reloaded the game fresh and still got one today while I was in EW and last night I had 5 disco's as well as one during the FSO at about the 40 minute mark or so. So, I don't know if it is cap issues or what is going on... Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Thanks

I started getting dicoed a couple or 3 weeks ago, around an hour into flying. Both times I was recording......second time was during the beta frame of DGS. I've been on several times after and haven't switched the recorder on....and haven't gotten discoed. It sucks not being able to review any of the film.
Anyway, if you've been recording, don't next time and see if that helps.
Good Luck.

I just had another one, in a Seafire, fighting over the CV group, 2 kills under my belt..
headed towards a P51, screen goes white... "illegal operation.. etc etc"
nothing new unfortunately.
-
I had 3 white screen crashes last night. All in Spit 16s.
-
maybe they should perk the 16 then?:p

Just a point since I think some terms are getting confused:
A disco is when you lose your connection to the host and see the "Host Connection Lost" message.
A crash is when the game abruptly stops and you see a Windows message or you are just returned to your desktop.
So, could everyone who posted in this thread reiterate whether they are experiencing discos or crashes.
Thanks,
- Sudz

<--- Disco'ed
Skuzzy told me some stuff and I am not sure yet what I will do as far as internet service as this just started happening. Maybe this weekend will be better... who knows.

good point sudz,
Ive only once lost connection (disco) once in.. 2 months or so.., the issue im having is a hard crash of the game itself.. the entire screen goes solid white, and then about 2 seconds later closes leaving a illegal op message.
:aok

I get discoed when I start my Spit16 on the runway at times. It's like a shotgun effect. Sometimes you get lucky. So I try to remember not to use the spit 16.

Those in spit sixteens that have been booted... Are you using a soundpack? If you are and it hasn't been updated since the spit sixteen arrival could find that it will crash the program. You might want to copy the spit 9 sounds to the spit 16 sound folder. It's under (C:\program files\HTC\Aces high II\sounds\spit16), without the parenthesis "()".
Hope this helps...

I think it was a corrupt sound file as doc suggested. I changed sound pack and haven't crashed since.
(Well I have crashed but the computer hasn't  )

I have noticed on 3 different maps/arenas I crash to desktop with the white screen and then Illegal operation windows XP message......
each time I was nearing a CV port base and had just started to notice the puffy ack at altitudes of 10k to 20k....
Late War Arena Blue - Ozkansas map/terrain the past weeks
and SEA arena map tonight...... and think it happened on another Arena or terrain that was recently released or updated....
as said it happens each time nearing a Port and the Puffy ack starts.....
as for the disco vs crash , Sudz, it still shows as a disco in the stats, might be why they said they discoed? perhaps?
never had this happen before

Sudz, disco for me on Friday evening (3, all around 7pm EST)
Just got the UDP drop, then the Host Disconnect bit shortly after.
Hope that helps any connection debugging you guys might be doing
