And a bump... don't need anything more complicated then a vox channel for the guy you've associated with .wingman.

The amount of vox spam that occurs during a fight with 6+ people on channel can be significantly limited if the wingman could communicate directly rather than broadcasting over the channel to everyone.

Yeah but unless you can squelch channels or something, wouldn't the interference not help anyways??

Actually I'd love to see a slider for volume for each voice channel as part of this.

So you can turn down Range vox if you choose. Or make Wingman louder than tuned.

Come on HT, you can't be THAT busy for the next year. Just park the Rv-8, save gas, and spend that time coading goodies. Right?  :)

Some sort of frequency priority scheme?  That way Wingman is never interrupted, Squad never interrupted but by Wingman, Tunable never by anything but WM or SQD, and range never interrupted by anything but range.

you could simply add another tunable vox channel and the priority would be in order with range being the lowest by default.

I suppose that'd be asking for more than just an automatic wingman channel.  I'd take both - a second manual frequency and an automatic WM channel.. but that could mean more traffic for their servers.

The priority thing could be an option.  Range would probably be at the bottom for most people, but the two manual and one squad frequencies might not have the same priorities for everyone.

A wingman channel would alleviate the need to broadcast, thus decreasing the amount of communications that end up being broadcast which aren't relevant to you.

Currently if you want to say 'I'm on the southern spit' to your wingman, everyone on channel has to hear it. If there are 6 people on, and each is communicating with their wingman by broadcast then all 6 are spamming the channel at once.

If theres a wingman channel, you can communicate these types of messages right to the person you want to communicate with and the broadcast channel stays quiet except for communications to the entire group.

Technical networking analogy would be the difference between a hub, which broadcasts all received traffic out to each port, and a switch which detects which port the traffic needs to go to and only sends it to the one.

Probably an idea worth its own thread, I still want an option to have range from one stereo side (left?) and channel from the other (right?). Makes it a lot easier to distinguish where the communications are coming from.
