I've seen a bunch of these flying squirrel folks, but nothing like this:

Absolutely nuts.

I wouldn't call it sick, an attempt at a Darwin Award yes but not sick per se.

I blame it on Joe Shuster and  Jerry Siegel.

I have 20+ jumps with a beginner wingsuit and I can't describe how much awe I have for the mad skillz and ballz shown by those guys.

But Loïc Jean-Albert is one of the best wingsuiters in the world.

I wonder what the approximate glide ratio is on those squirrel suits? It didn't look really good to me but was still impressive to see in the clip. Of course one little misjudgement and it's strawberry jam time too.

Mav,

Those suits have a glide rate of 1.7-2. Vertical speeds are usually around 60 mph, but good wingsuiters can lower that to 35 mph and glide 3 minutes between 13,500 ft and 3,500 ft.

As we used to say back in the day.

"They gotta be out their frikken minds"

Beauty to watch though.

I like "We used to jump out away from the mountain but we got bored with that so.." LOL

How long before some one decides to figure out a way to do a perfect landing without using their chute?

I've heard that there's a guy who is working on a technique for exactly that.  I expect many video cameras to be running that day.

Holy S*** those guys have big, hairy testicles probably made of brass.  That has got to be one helluva rush!
