Since everyone keeps insisting on calling the P38 a bomber...
The Droop Snoot was equipped with a Plexiglas nose and an ultra-secret Norden bomb sight. The bombardier was in the nose.

The Pathfinder was a P-38J (or L) modified with special ground-mapping radar and served as the lead plane for P-38 formations who were bombing through cloud-covered targets. It could often pick out targets and checkpoints which would otherwise be obscured by weather. The operator was housed in the forward part of the gondola with a large side window, but did not have any forward visibility, which a Droop Snoot bombardier would have.

I opened my bomb doors and my landing gear came out :huh

Do you have any pictures of the Lockheed P-38 Cruise Missile? :D

If the bombardier farted he would hit the pilots face with amazing accuracy

Hmm...interesting that someone would call the 38 a bomber.
The other day we had someone calling the 110 a bomber too.
Seems like someone might need a few books to improve their knowledge about WWII planes.

If you'll look at the first pic..the 38 is sad because they gave it that ugly nose. Look at that frown on the nose. Poor baby. :(
