I'm getting ready to build my first computer and was looking for mobo recomendations.
this is the cpu I plan on using: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115029
This comp will be used solely for AH.
I will be using an Antec 900 case.

ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA SE INTEL X38 but read the reviews. Its great if you like building stuff yourself and have the money to peak it out.
Really depends on whether you like nvidia or ati.

ASUS P5KC is one to take a look at.

heya sik1, i just built a new system here are some of the parts i used:
mother board (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131196)
processor (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16819115003)
power supply (its a little bit overkill, works nice though) (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817182067)
hard drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136073)
case (mine is silver though) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144151)
memory (2 gig) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034)
it was my first time building a system. went together easy. if you go with an ASUS board, i've heard that you only want to use what's reccomended for memory. i guess its really picky. all in all its pretty sweeet.

I agree with Skuzzy, that is a great board.
Keeping with the ASUS line and if money is no object, I've been looking at the Striker Extreme by ASUS.
Here is the review by the no BS folks: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/asus_striker_extreme
And here is the price at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131074
