Yes! Yes I agree! Because I certainly wasn't! :rofl
-
Yes, she definitly should have been watching where she was going, especially that last turn...
-
ya yall are probably right she should have been watching where she was going. What's that music that's playing in the background? I had to turn my speakers way up
-
thats probably a radio station, not sure I had it turned up quite a bit and couldnt make out what they were saying...It might also been some one talking to her and distracting her just enough so she missed that last turn too...

Her front wheel does something funny. See how it bends?

I better get closer to the monitor and watch it again, I didn't see the "bend".
-
You can see it looks like its starting to bend as she is weaving around the poles then she goes behind that stage or bleachers, and when she comes out from behind it you can really see it bend, almost looks like her front wheel is falling off
-
Right before she comes back into view and crashes you can barely hear some kind of a skidding sound. I wonder if she locked up her brake and that’s what did her in?

Brake? or Brakes... it important... rewatch the video, what brand and type of bike is she exactly riding? depending on the type then she should have brakes as in two brakes, so that shouldnt be the cause of her crashing.
I suggest you watch it again and pay attention this time, especially when she comes around the bleachers, I'll bet if you pause it at just the right moment you will see two brakes, front and rear and then see her wheel almost collapse...
-
I missed that collapsed wheel completely but when that dude jumped out I almost shat my pants and spilled coffee all over the desk. Am I the only one who saw that?
:D

On ANY bike, you apply the front and rear brakes independently. Too much of either one or both at the same time can cause a skid or wreck. I suggest that YOU watch it again and pay closer attention; I said brake and meant brake, as in the front brake. I think she applied the front brake while turning sharply and washed out the front tire. The fact that she was leaning somewhat hard into the corner brought her down fast when she lost traction.

Well thats just dumb, you should have said front brake. You dont have to tell me about braking dynamics of a bicycle, I used to design and build lightweight racing bikes. Brakes are very important and we used only the best graphite brake pads designed to not grab like that. Just the other day I was talking to Lance and he agreed.. I think YOU need to watch again so you will see she doesnt even have a front brake, so HA...

LOL, the Lance bomb. I used to beat Lance all the time before my big injury. He’s not bad but he doesn’t know jack about hardware. Anyway, the bike in the clip is a POS and the girl rides like an idiot. Besides, if you know so much about bikes, why didn’t you notice her locking up the front brake yourself?
-
I'm still stuck on the song... I think it's a midi version of something the Partridge Family did.
Whatever did her in you know she was sore the next day.
Airscrew I didn't know you were a bike guy. I'll have to get your opinions someday cause my little ones want to mountain bike. I may show them this video as a learning experience.

Yea right you beat Lance, to the lunch counter maybe... I'll bet you're that guy he was talking about the other day, one the side of the road crying cause you had a flat tire and some bent spokes..:lol
as far as the bike in the video, you dont seem to know very much, POS HA  that happens to be a LeMond bike only the 2nd best racing bike ever built (the best would be mine, if I still made them. After a horrible chain and sprocket accident in 2001 when both my thumbs were severed I had to retire. Luckly Lance was there and was able to reattach them, unfortunately he was a little "dopey" that day and put them on the wrong hands)
-
well, I'll check later, I told Sheryl I would stop by on my way home after work, she's still upset over her break up with Lance.
-
i luve the dude who pops into the screen on you at the end..quite unexpectantly surprising me....gave me a tingle in my spine when i turned the volume up loud as well....i wasn't as surprised the second time though..i tell ya'..!i knew he was comin outta nowhere at there end so i tried not to blink....still scared the sheet outta me...just thought i'd warn ya's all.

What? What dude?
-
I think he might have meant "boob" and not "dude".
-
i never use the front brake on my bicycle, that's the hand i hold my beer with when I'm riding.
-
Squeeker's have NO sense of humor... NONE!
I love how you guys were trying to set people up for this!!! Too bad them folk had to ruin it.

Yea, I bet that’s how Lance told it. Yes, it was me crying. Everyone thinks that Lance beat cancer; the truth is he really just gave his cancer to me and THAT’S WHY I WAS CRYING!!!!  That and the fact that Lance also snipped most of my spokes which caused my front wheel to come off and when I crashed nine spokes IMPALED MY CHEST AND PUNCTURED MY LUNGS!!!!
I’ve seen your bikes… at K-Mart for $58.99. I’ll give you credit for American made, but honestly, Chinese forced child labor produces a better bike in both construction and design. It’s really too bad that shipping and taxes pushed their retail price up to $59.99 so K-Mart went with you to save the customer a buck.
Oh, and I heard about your accident. “Chain and sprocket accident” you claim, ha!!! I heard your thumbs were “somewhere else”.
-
song::
he was coming down the mountain doing 90 miles an hour when the chain on his bicycle broke.
he landed in the grass with the sprocket up his *** and was punctured to death by the spokes.
yeehaa.
