In the grand scheme of things you are so far ahead of my rinky-dink dialup in bandwith used that I have trouble grieving a 2 day loss.

That's just sad. I think even the remotest sticks around the "metroplex" offer some sort of broadband now.

You would be wrong. I've got good old sturdy copper lines that will last another 30 years according to Embarq.
2 miles down the road they have DSL. I also have a tree covered hill just off my property a mile or so blocking microwave service.:mad:
