Post by: pipz on October 19, 2007, 04:20:07 AM: Ok you probably thought this thread was going to be about the Momas and the Papas.That was strictly marketing to get you in hereAlthough you can here my rendition of that tune this weekend in late war Orange:aok What I would like to know is why it is always spring time in North America in the AH MA.Now I saw some pictures of that "Da Gross SHag" scenario and my eyes lit up when I saw snow.I believe I have seen that before in the AvA arena.So why not in the MA?

It was probably designed for specific scenarios and lacks the normal amount of bases and strats that MA maps have.

Personally, Pipz I think you are asking too much. Just think of all the time it would take Nomde, Krusty, Fester and the guys to repaint all those camo's.:D (I'm kidding, of course and agree that I have seen magnificent scenery changes in this game - - AvA Finland map blew me away!!!) It might be worth it just to keep Krusty off the BBS for a bit.:)

Chilli that Finland map is probably the best one I ever saw.I liked the antiquated truck that sat at the edge of the field.

Please...Please...Please...ca n we have a winter map??....or a Desert map ....I'm tired of the tropical terrain set ...I'm not complaining...it's just that I have flown this terrain (tile set) longer then the bloddy war lasted !!

Its true what you say we have been starring at green and blue for a long time now.Snow ,Desert,Grey winter skies,some islands perhaps anything to break it up a bit.As Chilli said im sure we will get it sooner or later.Just thought I would bring it up as a conversation piece.

If there is anyone out there that doubts the AH community has the resources to totally kick the summertime blues, he hasn't seen the cool stuff that pops up in AvA occassionally. Once, I flew a map there with fog so thick, I couldn't find any port buildings until I was practically over them:aok

Finland map there was just short of being an alien planet in comparison to the mean green terrain machine. I ached to jump into a huge gv battle so I could explore every nuance (and of course spawn camps :t ).

I applaud all you map makers:aok It is my opinion that there have been countless hours dedicated by members of the AH community and staff to give us awesome gameplay. As suggested here, the next level in kickaz development (besides CT - but hopefully included in) would be some pallette and slight foilage options. I suppose that building architecture would follow that (if not already implemented):D
