I just found out tonight that a squad mate of mine was killed by a drunk driver. The accident happened on the 11th and he passed away on the 16th due to his injuries. I never thought that i wold be touched by such a tragedy, especially when it is a person i can't say i really knew. He was a pain in the ass, but he was our pain in the bellybutton and the color and zeel he brought to the Texas Air Cav and AH will be sorely missed...

What a shame :(

This really sux and I'm shocked. I never met him, but I would have if given half the opportunity. Knowing him the way that I did, I'll say he was an outstanding individual. I'll say a prayer for his wife and kids. I hope this makes us all think twice about getting behind the wheel of a car if we've been drinking.

Unfortunately it is true. He leaves behind a two year old, his wife and one child due in January. It really got me thinking last night how trivial this game can be and yet how in a split second it can reach out and touch you in a very real way.

I hadnt seen this thread before I posted one about Mud.
-
Somehow, i don't think he would have minded one bit.

My heart and prayers are with him and his family. May he find eternal peace and tranquility in the afterlife.
All the Best...

Violence always begets violence and is never the answer, but.......... wouldn't it be nice to up one of our "rides" and find some of these folks the feel they are sober enough to drive when in all reality, they are not. Love to see what 20mm's do to a automobile.
Seriously, finding a Designated Driver is not that difficult. I was one the other night. Took out three of my friends (celebration for one about to have a baby) and I had one beer for a toast as soon as we got there.. The next 3 hours it was water. I survived as did everyone else. I know that next time it will be someone else's turn to drive. Too easy. I wish that some people had more sense. I have lost more than one friend to a drunk driver. One of my friends killed himself in a car while drunk. Call me cold, but I have no mercy for him (well, almost none). It can be averted.

< Salute > Mudf1y may you rest in peace and may gaurdian angels and link angels continue to watch over your family and unborn seed bro !! AArch AAngels hearts and prayers are with you and yours. It stops and makes you realize how meaningless and foolish our trivial bickering and arguments can be and just how short and unpromised life really is for us all. Stop and enjoy every minute we have with our families and each other in the game. Painful to hear he has an unborn on the way.His wife will need the support of those close to her now more than ever. < Salute > fallen comrad you are gone but never forgotten !!!

Mudf1y...
I can still hear him over squad Vox every time I get online. The game isn't the same without him. He was a great wingman & made the game loads of fun. I'll miss joking with him & laugh every time I think about him.
Buddy, keep an eye on us all down here. We'll meet someday.

nah.....this would let them off too easy as they'd know no suffering.....hange em by their "bits", and shoot em in the knee caps with a 22..........give em time to think about the life they so wrongly took as theirs drains away(and i am NOT a violent person, but there's no excuse for this)

Jeepin, you should've let this thread rest in peace. It was dead for over a month.
-
why is that denholm?
He misses our bud.
Why is that a problem for you?
-
It will probably be quite a long bit more than one month that those guys are feeling the pangs over their friend. Nothing wrong with them expressing that. Says an awful lot of good about Mud that they'll continue to miss him beyond their initial shock.

Know what? I've been away for over a month & I just saw this thread when I read an email his wife sent. I didn't get to post on it and figured I owe him at least that much. He was one of my best friends on the game. So excuse me if I brought up an old thread, do us a favor and keep your opinion to yourself.

Humm Denholm, the 68TH have the one year anniversary service coming up marking the passing of their C.O. 68KO
. I wonder if your gonna say something as equally tasteless and stupid too them?
-
I dont really know who he was. but he was part of AH community.
good bye
