Kinda cool. ( But my company almost aways pay only for (cough) the cheapest available seat what so ever.... arrrrg, just like wines of 1st class, I can only feel flavor of it... :) I think , one of these days, I'm gonna ride that Giant bird for Seoul-Frankfrut section, I can't wait.

Almost any liner can be equipped out that way.  That does not mean they will.

The dream of the Dornier drom the 20's/30's is coming true?

BTW, best flight comfort I ever had was in a 747-200 freighter. Well, there was only a ladder up to the top, but the chairs were good (16), we had a kitchen, and yes, beds, I think 4 of them.

But this one's bigger....

Its a a cool machine and I'm glad someone's done it, but should it really have taken us 30 years to have gotten from the 747 to A380?

I think the "maiden" flight is tomorrow - Singapore to Sydney, then back on Friday.

Yeah it is, it should arrive about 1700 AEST...luckily for me an hour after I go home - I always hate the 3 ring circus that goes with these things....might grab a look when its parked up on the hard stands on Friday

People forget that when the 747 first came out it was advertised with bars, lounges and other 1st class amenities.  Didn't take the airlines long to realize they would make more money filling the space with seats.

I look for the same thing to happen with the A380.

I don't like the way airline captains dress.  They look more like steamboat captains than aircraft pilots.  I think the airlines should come up with a blue flightsuit, something that shows both functionality and professionalism.
