Title: P-51 Combat Reports

Some people might know of this website, but here it is anyways. I have really enjoyed reading this site and gives u a Idea of how the mustang performed in WW2. I will put a few quotes from some of them in here. Enjoy!

Richard D. Bishop, 11, September 1944, 55th FG “I’ll never worry about meeting a FW 190 in a 51 since I was able to outturn, outdive and generally out-maneuver him at all altitudes, from 23,000 feet to the deck; I could follow him in anything and do a lot more besides.”  

 
Capt. William T. Halton, 27 November 1944, 352nd FG "I found no trouble outclimbing them at this altitude except that their air speed was far slower than ours and we had to "S" to stay behind"

Engine Boost

1st Lt. James F. Hinchey, 14 November 1944, 353rd FG “For fifteen minutes at 74” hg and indicating 600 mph…”  

Capt. Charles E. Yeager, 6 November 1944, 357th FG “I got behind him and was pulling 75” Hg.”

no problem, ive been on that site all day, still got alot of reading to do :O
