Title: Finnish Players
Post by: Raptor on October 25, 2007, 12:09:13 PM
Has there been anything in the news in Finland about a Retired General writing a book and revealing names of troops involved in a classified assassination attempt of a  Russian Official?

I ask because I was told a story today that I am highly Skeptical of.

There was this case in the biggest national news paper (http://www.hs.fi/english/article/1076153076611).

There was even a picture (http://www.hs.fi/english/picture/1076153006119) of the situation.....

I havent heard anything like that.

If there was a book like that, there would have been deep and serious crisis between Russia and Finland. (unless if it has happened 60-100 years ago.)

So I would say that it is only a funny rumour or a sick joke.

It could also be one of Ilkka Remes's books. Ilkka Remes is a Finnish author of thrillers and young adult literature. Really popular writer here...
