for some reason I can't get the f6 button to take me to the bombsight, any ideas? thanks
-
Make sure you are in the pilot seat first. Also check in case you have a function lock button on your keyboard that has been toggled off.
-
Excuse me when sounding a bit silly, but also make sure you are flying a plane equipped with bombsight. Many people are confused by the fact that one B-25 has a bombsight but the other B-52's do have none.
-
thanks but that didn't help
-
maybe thats it how do you tell if the plane has a bombsight
-
Planes with bombsight:
B-17
B-24
B-26
Lancaster
Boston III
Ki-67
Ju 88
TBM
B5N
B-25C: Glass Nose version (when in hangar, select the appropriate weapons loadout - the two strafer versions don't have one)
Hope I didn't forget one.

When did we get a B52? *ducks and runs out chorteling like a drunken troll

Just a question, but, are you going anywhere or do you stay in the pilots seat? Reason i ask is because the other day i was hitting F6 and getting into the bombers position, but was getting a black screen. took a number of tries to get the bomb sight to appear, and even then it was only half of it.

Sounds absolutely like flying a non-bombsight B-25 ;)

Keep readin'. The sight did show up eventually but was rendered wrong. I am sure it was a 25C.

When the B-25 was first released, the non-bombsight (strafer) versions of the B-25 acted exact the way you described. All black, but one could finally manage to get a not fully rendered bomsight to show. That has been corrected, it's all black now when you hit F6.

i just found thiout the other day...on my first day back after about 2 months or so not flying......was distracting, as i have trouble hitting the ground when dive bombing:rofl :rofl

ok it appears that none of the b25's have a bomb site. how about some tips on bombing with with that plane.

The glass nose version of the B25C has a bomb sight.
For the strafer versions and the B25H: You have to practice a shallow dive bombing profile. Cut your engine when pointing nose down and be careful when pulling up, or you may lose some vital parts.
