Title: Dual Joystick Question
Post by: Sloehand on October 26, 2007, 12:50:44 AM
Was just wondering if AH supports having more than one joystick mapped at the same time?

I vaguely remember having to return to a previous joystick (different make/model), but had to completely re-map it.

I would like to switch joysticks while in session, but I don't know if that is possible either.

Definitive clarification would be appreciated.

Yes, can plug in 2 here and Windows and AH see's them both.

Could probably do more if you really wanted to.

Switching settings could be tricky however.

Switching between two joysticks within a session can be made possible if you make use the AH2's "Mode" function. With a single keystroke you can switch between sticks that way, even during flight.

I use both a CH stick and x45 throttle....

AH sees them both and I just map them in AH. the x45 stick could theoretically be mapped to something, but I don't bother I just want the throttle. I also have CH pedals, so that adds to the mix.

as for the "mode" function, I don't know if that re-maps axis controls or just button functions, I have never tried
