Here is some work we've been doing over at the CH Hangar (http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php) ...
It's called the FrankenForce (http://snomhf.exofire.net/frankenForce/intro.html) and once you've used one, you'll never go back to a stock FighterStick again.
Enjoy!

Beautiful writeup Homeboy. Now I know why you havn't been flying. :)
I can vouch for the pluses of the Frankenforce. Homeboy built one for me and I wouldn't want to go back to the standard Fighterstick. :aok

man you guys are nuts ROFL
I can't imagine spending that money and destroying a stick lol

Ok JB,
Sorry, I don't quite get what's so hilarious about this.
What stick exactly is being destroyed?
As for spending "that money", the Logitech stick can be found for less than $20 and I've gotten reports of guys finding the FX stick for $20 or less. That's about $40 to do this mod (assuming you have a FighterStick already). I call that pretty darned economical.
Heh, I enjoy a good laugh too. I just can't figure out what's funny about this.
Maybe I'm a little dense today.

The FrankenForce is made up of three separate joysticks:
* The CH Products Force FX stick
* The CH Products FighterStick or CombatStick
* Some sort of Force Feedback stick such as the Logitech Wingman Force 3D (the only one I've tried) or the Saitek Evo Force.
If I hadn't gotten my CH stick at the con I would never be able to afford 1 let alone multiple CH sticks.
add the expense of mess ups experimenting and creating these things, how many CH sticks have you actually gone through over the past oh 3 years?
It just cracks me up that someone would buy a $150 stick, then rip it apart, and piece it back together. it obviously voids the warranty, so if something goes wrong you are out of luck.

I don't see it as any more hilarious than someone in the game who doesn't know you can get a Fighterstick for under $100.
Money aside, and it's ours, not yours, Homeboy has done an impressive piece of work. What's the point in ridculing what he's done?

Wow!
Super mod and great write up HomeBoy! :aok
Now if I were just tech-savvy enough to actually follow your directions and build one....
