Having a little problem with the Aces High program booting me out of the system. This just started a couple of days ago. When I am coming in to land and hit w to retract my flaps, it boots me out of the program.
I have checked my firewall and it is allowing access to the program. It only seems to happen when I am coming in for a landing and usings my flaps.
I have reloaded the program, and it worked for awhile, but then started again.
Any suggestions?

Does it do it offline?

Ugh... wouldn't that be a crash and not a boot if it did it offline? hehehe
Just pulling your chain Skuzzy.

He says he is being botted out of the program. I just want to know if the problem also happens offline. It would indicate possible data corruption somewhere then,

I guess you didn't see the "just pulling your chain Skuzzy" line?

After reading other posts, I believe I am having a crash. The computer goes to a white screen, with a Microsoft Error Message. The mouse locks up which requires me to go back to Windows to exit the program. I can still hear the game sounds, but nothing else.
It does not happen everytime, and it does not happen offline or with any other program. I have a brand new Dell XPS 410 that was set up for gaming.
The only time it seems to happen is when I'm hitting my flaps button when landing. It does not happen everytime. I had my flaps mapped to the joystick, but I removed it and started using the keyboard for the flaps. It still crashed a couple of times after I made this change.
Thanks

If you are using a custom sound pack delete it and go back to the orig (Even though those sounds suck). If it does not crash its probably a faulty sound file. I had same problem and I now use a different sound pack with no problems.

I am using a custom sound pack. I'll try that. What sound pack are you using?
-
here are some soundpacks you can use
Fruda's soundpack (http://www.sitesled.com/members/fruda/)
Schatzi's Page w/ Sketch Soundpack (http://www.slowcat.de/)
USRanger's soundpack (http://www.bops.us/ranger/sounds.zip)
Mitsu's Sounds Collection V2.03 (http://park1.wakwak.com/~mitsu/ah2_stuff/msc_203full.zip)
TwinBoom Version 4 (http://www.archive.org/download/TwinBoomTwinBoomVersion4/TwinBoomVersion4.rar)
hope this helps you pick out a sound pack. i run USRanger's sound pack works good for me

I had the same problem a few months ago. Every time I lowered flaps the game crashed. It turned out to be a corrupt flap sound from a custom sound pack. I deleted the flap sound & the problem was solved.
-
Thanks for all the help. I changed sound packs, and the problem went away.
-
please post which sound pack you were using. One so the "builder" can maybe fix the problem, and two, it may save someone else the aggravation you have had having it posted here where they could find it.
-
Fugitive,
I wish I could tell you. I downloaded several packs and then tried them one at a time. The problem, since I am not a computer wizzard, I did not save all of them correctly, so I'm not sure which pack it was.
I re-loaded the game and started over and now I'm using TwinBooms.
Haven't had a problem since.

if a sound sample rate is more than 22 kHz is will cause
a mini warp i found in tests it takes longer to load thus causing
a warp so for guys having an issue when using a certain sound
u can use a different sound or use a sound editing prog. such as sound forge or acid pro or winXP has a sound recorder to change the sample rate
I for one went through entire sound pack and made sure i had the right
sample rates before i released it TB
