We had a blast too guys; I'd advise not rolling from any field that has an Avenger troop drop inbound.  You will find it much safer, not to mention smarter, to up from another field and grab in above us.  We had some excellent fights last night and enjoyed them very much. Thank you guys for the nice turn out......

I will be taking a week of medical leave this week Guys; My XO Olbull, will be leading the squad for the next two squad nights.  So feel free to thank him or cuss him for the next two Avenger Squad Nights.

You see now, thats just the thing we've been talking about... I saw no attempt at base capture from the "avengers" just capping and vulching. Maybe the base catures happend before any opposition showed up. :D

I'm really enjoying this. First I get to make fun of the inconsistent, hypocritical, politicians who constantly decry vulching then kiss the new guys butts. Real soon here the new will wear off and I'll get to make fun of them again as they change their tunes. How's that poop taste (you know who you are ;) ).

You guys vulch away, the more the better. Don't let the ack scare you, it's anemic, set low on purpose. No need to de-ack (even though it's easy to do if you want to). Just dive right in and spray that runway:aok

You may wonder why the ack is set low 2 reasons:
(1) Since people don't vulch in the AvA (chuckling) it wasn't needed as a deterrent.
(2) It makes running to ack and fighting within the safe proximity of your base less effective. Last night some AvA noob kept dragging me through the ack, I just followed him in and shot him up. Bet he was scratchin' his head trying figure out what was going on (chuckling again).

Also, last night the dar was porked on both sides where the fighting was. Nobody could find the fights and the arena emptied out unusually early. When the arena had a population of 4 was when I saw the only base capture. A vehicle base in the blind zone.

I need to interject here. Avengers do not vulch for the sake of getting a kill. We are a mission oriented squad that does what it needs to do to complete the mission. We cap to supress the opposition. WHther you come in with alt from another field, or foolish enough to roll the field under attack, we all have our roles to play and do it...all in an effort to succeed. But to vulch justy to get a kill? Sorry guys...not the avengers. Not our MO and never has been our MO.
As for last night, admit it or not, you guys had a hell of a time defending against us...and quite successfully, I might add. You are right....only captured one lousy vehicle field. But we are new to the arena and in time it will be more. But our lack of experience with the rules, nuances and FM's of AH, there is a learning curve...but that does not make us liars....we are learning how to capture.....but just because we are not pros at it yet does not make us vulchers.
Guys, we are here to stay. You dont like what we are doing, there are plenty of other areas in that arena yoiu can hang out. But I will not lie to you...I found you guys to be great adversaries in there and only hope you found the same in us.

I read the forums quite a bit (don't reply to much though lol) and I was intrigued by the Avengers and how they would fair in the AvA arena so I logged in last night to see for myself.

I'll admit that I had a good time, there were people in there! It will take time for a new crew to get acclimated to AH coming from another game. Give it some time and maybe they will be good for the AvA....hell they got me to go in there.

I know some long timers in the AvA will not like certain aspects of the Avengers play style because the arena simply isn't set up as a base taking arena but they had some opposition last night that created what the old timers were looking for .....fights.

just my $0.02 so take it easy on me. Maybe I'll start playing in here more often, was more fun than the MA riots.

:aok  Kong.  Anything to bring in more people, lol.  Rename to MA and it will be fixed.

Oh, please tell TB the thing about the ack.  I think he feels safe there :rofl

I didn't see any vultching.  the avengers fly well together and are fun to fight.  I look forward to "seeing" you gentlemen on later.  please don't remove those adhesive targets from your gluteus maximus though.

TY Storch. Like I said in my earlier post...I found the opposition to be great pilots with some great wingman tactics....not to mention friendly, complimentary and overall a great group to spend the night in the arena with. Avengers have found their home and I am confident we will prove to be a positive addition to the community.
Now...enough of the nice guy stuff....watch out on Thursday night. I advise you all to tighten your chute straps...and make sure that .45 is loaded.
