Post by: bsdaddict on October 31, 2007, 10:05:24 AM
say what you will about Ron Paul and his chances at winning this thing, no other candidates supporters are as passionate.  It's a shame the GOP as a whole doesn't seem to want our votes.

If Ron Paul were to suddenly start leading in the republican primary he would shortly be involved in a fatal car accident or have a heart attack.

Ron Paul is VERY popular at college campuses.
But, if Ron Paul were to walk through your local mall, 99% of people woul dhave no clue who he was.

I love what happens to be running at the bottom of the ticker there.

Yup, Dr Paul better get his brakes checked.

Kinda like the 6 US troops that all turned up DEAD on US soil within 7 days of the B52 Nuke flyover incident.. the "paperwork" error. Supposedly there's a Nuke cruise missile missing.

1. All six people listed below are from Minot Air force base
2. All were directly involved in the b52 nuke fly over as loaders or as pilots
3. All died within 7 days in 'accidents'

"Why hasn’t the Air Force or the FBI investigated the 6-8 untimely deaths including three alleged suicides, one of a Minot weapons guard, one of an assistant defense secretary, and one of a captain in the super-secret Air Force Special Commando Group, as well as alleged fatal vehicle “accidents” involving four ground crew and B-52 pilots and crewmembers at Minot and Barksdale?"

You need to find a better conspiracy theory Xmarine,...

Quote
Kinda like the 6 US troops that all turned up DEAD on US soil within 7 days of the B52 Nuke flyover incident

Amn Todd Blue died 9/10,  7 days from the incident Aug 30 is Sept 7.  So thats a miss
Links 2 and 5 are no good...
Amn Adam Barrs died in a vehicle accident July 3 miss again
Capt John Frueh was stationed in Florida, not even connected with Minot, or Barksdale....Flew to Portland Oregon on 25 Aug, 5 days before the nuke incident.  Last heard from Aug 30.

and lastly, this little thing I ran across on the same website you copied and pasted your stuff from (but not completely cause you left some stuff out)
;)
cut from here http://www.legitgov.org/minot_afb_nukes_oddities.html
you might have to scoll down a bit to find this....

Quote
I’ve seen too much crazy stuff to believe in some massive conspiracy, there’s too many people involved. You’d have to kill like 50 people to “cover up” moving nukes to Barksdale. Plus, what would it achieve? There’s already more than enough nukes at Barksdale to blow the world up 3x over. Who needs 6 more? Seriously? Plus, more accidents occur with conventional than nukes, since nukes are computerized and designed to be super-duper safe. Conventional weapons are built by the lowest bidder. [Yikes!] I’d be more worried about a fully-loaded F16 flying around NYC after 9/11 sucking up a bird than a B52 with nukes flying around without anyone knowing it was loaded with nukes. The pilots couldn’t "secretly" be in on it and launch them, the interface wouldn’t be installed, the COMSEC material wouldn’t be available, etc. You’d have to kill half the base to hide the paper trail necessary to give the pilots the ability to launch.

Several people dying from Minot is bad, of course, but then, crazy stuff happens. Motorcycle accidents, mind you, are the #1 non-war cause of dead in the Air Force. The Captain who died wasn’t a pilot (he was Combat Weather, as evidenced by his pewter beret in the photo linked from your site). ....... Yes, a part of the Security Forces Squadron mission there would be do defend the nukes, but he’s not at all involved in any of the process. He stands outside the door and checks IDs. Seriously, that’s it. I have 5 cops (as they're generally called in the Air Force) I deal with every day where I work because I do computer stuff, and they have zero clue what’s happening behind the door. They spend most of the day on the phone watermelon chatting with friends at other security posts about the latest dorm gossip about who slept with whom.

find a better conspiracy Xmarine...

The only reason Ron Paul is loved on college campuses is because of is stance on the war and America's foriegn policy.  If he started talking about his domestic ideas to that same crowd he'd get booed off the stage faster than that minuteman guy did.

bull puckey.  three domestic issues off the top of my head that are huge with college kids are the income tax, social security and the war on drugs.

you're saying that the college kids who support RP only do so because, basically, they're not paying attention to the rest of his platform.  I'm saying they support him because they ARE paying attention.  They see the direction this country is heading and they don't like it.  you obviously haven't spoken with any college kids about why they support RP, you're not qualified to make such a blanket statement as you did.

Well I would counter that you are not qualified to make that statement either...

I have personally seen, witnessed and been a party to groups that have supported or advocating non-support of a candiate based on only 1 issue on a candiates platform, 1, ONE issue.  whether they be military, school teachers, BSA, government employees or college students.

Example:  My wife is a Treasury employee, she is the steward of her local union.  During the Bush/Kerry campaign her union voted to support Kerry
Only because one of Bush's issues was to push congress to replace some federal offices and employee's with contractors and the Treasury/IRS department was one of those.  That was it, they didnt care what else Kerry stood for, or what else Bush might do,  they were only concerned about thier jobs

So if Stang says some college students support Ron Paul for his stance on Iraq, I can believe it

It really is the sole reason.  These kids probably have no idea what else he wants to do.

Saying we should get out of foriegn entanglements is akin to having energy independence to these kids.  They like that.  They think if we would only leave the rest of the world alone we wouldn't have any of these problems.  Rubbish.

The world is so interconnected now if we would collectively stick our heads in the sand and ignore what's going on, which is basically what Paul stands for, it would be disastrous.  We have to be engaged in the world.  Radically engaged.  Just not in the "cowboy diplomacy" ways we have been.

Stang that's true, but RP is still better than the rest of them.  Would you give up the country's internal health for foreign affairs engagements?  That's how you're putting it.
I think RP would be the first step in the right direction.

all I'm saying is that, for a self-proclaimed libertarian you sure take every possible opportunity to spread FUD about why it won't/can't work.  Maybe you're as jaded as I was, prior to RP announcing his candidacy.  I moved up to NH to be a part of the Free State Project more or less because I was giving up on a political solution at the national level.  I definitely feel where you're coming from, but RP has given me hope.

Sometimes change hurts. It hurtHUGE when Reagan was president. I do not think the college age kids want to be coddled as much as you think Laz. The ones I talk to tend to be very concerned about their future.
(and they should be) This country needs an enema now! Our current government is bloated and self serving. Welfare needs to be changed now! Our economy is a disaster, our military is over extended supporting the current administration's ideal of defeating terrorism (which is not working). Our troops are dying for corporate gains (their I said it) crucify me ifyou must. But that is how I see it. Chertoff is the "son of the devil"(Russian translation) France likes us again wtf?? See my point? If you do let me know what is Laz I forgot. Anyways Vote Ron Paul At least it will be interesting. Besides it "sings" (Green Beret reference) old John Wayne movie for you young kids. John Wayne was an actor............ Nevermind. Anyways President Clinton twice mmmmmmmm I don't think so! President Giulliani?? To many vowels. Besides he will make his cabinet call him Don Giulliani. (mafia reference) President Obama Mr. " I will talk to Iran" Ummm yea can you say NO! The difference being that those were third party candidates.  It's pretty much the opposite situation, IMHO...  If Ron Paul doesn't get the GOP nomination, then the GOP loses the libertarian/independent vote, allowing Hillary to beat whoever the GOP puts up against her.

I doubt Paul would accept that arrangement...   Thompson does seem to be the "lesser-evil" out of the GOP frontrunners, but I don't think RP would even go so far as to endorse him.

My point was more to the "at least it will be interesting"  ....
when the time comes for me to go to ballot box during the primary and I'm looking at a list of names to pick from I dont think I am going to vote for someone because "it will be interesting"  might as well not vote at all... I'm gonna vote for whoever I think is the strongest and best candiate for the job.. whoever that maybe...

Would RP get a chance at the next elections?  He's too old, I think.
So it would be his last chance to have influence from such a high position, which is better to cope with in tandem with someone like Thompson than sitting in his office pondering what could have been.

If I were assigned one of these real live dead people as a murder investigation in my former capacity as a police detective, it would be incompetent to ignore the fact all these young healthy troopers had one thing in common; be it that they all enjoyed the same hooker, drank at the same bar, or just happened to be directly involved in the same incident... the 1st time in over 50 years nuke protocol was violated.

I realize this kind of critical thinking doesn't conform to the "left vs right" drivel you're programmed to accept, and it leaves open the possibility our own govt, or factions there of, are involved.. but after reading about Operation Northwoods, another fact that so called "true blue patriots" like to live in denial about.. this govt cant be excluded as a suspect just because it goes against some phony idea that our elected leaders are pure, honest and devoted to doing "good".

I never claimed to know what happened, and I do think its an investigative angle that should be exhausted & made public. I also enjoy dropping hints just to tweak people who get excited enough to get their ad hominem panties in a wad.

You need to re-read your "evidence" mr. police detective...{edit} 1 of the people linked to the "conspriacy" died almost 45 days before any "incident" took place....another one died 12 days after...another died on or about the day, and had no connection with Barksdale or Minot...

Thats what investigations are supposed to do; get the facts... I'm sure more interesting info I haven't read about will come out. It still doesn't exclude the govt, or members, as a suspect(s)... which I clearly hinted to, or explain the other deaths. And, personally, the only way I'd accept the date / time on any of these dead guys is by verifying and reviewing the coroners report & death certificates, not the media... but linking to media reports is more fun than public records search for death certificates.

And FWIW I retired from the PD due to injuries and enjoy excellent City & Fed benefits... thanks for asking.

Ahhh, gotcha.  In that case, my motives are pretty much summed up as "it might be our last/best chance..."

True, it would offer some influence.  It would be an obvious ploy to retain the libertarian/independent vote, but such a ploy very well might work.  However, imho it's highly doubtful that RP would ever be offered the VP nomination.  He's too much of a maverick for them.  Also, I think Thompson might not be comfortable being one "accident" away from RP taking the reins, considering the perception of some of RP's supporters as being "fringe"

lmao, that wasn't a threat, that was a prediction.

you're entitled to make your own predictions.  I don't understand how you're factoring in losing libertarian and independent votes and coming up with a better chance of victory, but whatever works for you...

You know, I've had a sneaking suspision this whole time that much of Paul's support is made up of lefties who are just trying to sabatoge the Republican primaries by supporting the only anti-war candidate just to stick it to them.

I'll grant that there might be some RP supporters who are anti-war lefties, seeing as how Ron Paul is the ONLY true anti-war candidate, but come on, aren't you giving lefties too much credit?

It really dawned on me on one of the early debates on Fox News.  Paul said maybe 2 sentences the whole debate it seemed yet the text in vote for your winner results were drastically in his favor.  Got me wondering...

I attribute that to Paul supporters 1) being interested enough that early in the campaign to watch a boring debate, and 2) having done their homework ahead of time Paul supporters knew he was their man so he didn't need much time.  Hackers definately makes a better movie though...

I'm not biased.  Sees clearly the truth.

I'd love Ron Paul to get the nomination.  Give me someone to vote for without holding my nose.
