Title: Graphics glitch freezes AH, unresponsive to alt-tab

I recently made a new PC, specs are

Asus M2A-VM
AMD 64 X2 3600
1GB of ram
XFX Nvidia 7900GT 256MB, PCI express
Windows XP Pro v.2002, SP2
All latest drivers (except for Motherboard stuff which I just installed the OEM CD drivers)
DirectX 9c, dxdiag report is here (http://rapidshare.com/files/66513655/DxDiag.rar).
Let me know if I forgot anything..

Aces High did this the first time I ran it on this PC, using the onboard graphics (ATI 1250 Xpress), and is now doing it with this nvidia graphics card too.

This is what it looks like:

With the onboard gfx card, I'd get into the arena, and it'd freeze just as everything is rendered without textures (nor specularity IIRC), looking all grey.  I could alt-tab.
With this card I get the same erraticaly flickering greyish clipboard page, can log into the arena, but instead of looking texture-less, it looks like the sky's all black, there seems to be some untextured grey land near the horizon, and the game won't alt-tab.  If I hit the task manager command (ctr-alt-del) or the windows start menu key, the classic windows cursor will show up, and you can see it change into the vertical and horizontal resize cursors when it passes over the taskbar, and the other programs are responding in the back (windows media player will play, pause etc faultlessly), but no alt-tab.

Playing a totaly fresh install of the game changes nothing.

I've got a small movie of the bug in action which I'll upload once I've encoded it to a smaller size.

don't rely on my but doesn't this sound a bit like the AMD bug here:

I don't know how I missed that sticky Skuzzy, sorry.  I'd been looking everywhere but right there :)
