on right now :( :(
I have seen some people disfigured by accident, disease, and what not...
This poor girl, OMG My heart goes out to her and her entire family. This HAS to be the saddest thing I have ever seen.
I am going to go look right now for a way to donate, even though I am broke, this is truly someone who need all the love in the world they can get. I didn't know conditions this bad existed. :( Everyone should see this and know they are living a privileged life.
If you are up and read this, please tune in to "The Learning Channel" TLC and watch some of this show. it may change your life.
It actually makes me kind of sick and mad this is shown tonight of all nights BTW, but that is a discussion not for this thread.

Hear hear. Horrible things happen to good people, gotcha. Life can suck enough as it is, why subject myself to a depression fest.

Yeah for you.
You bother to read the thread, tune into the channel, then take time out of your wonderful life to be a jerk and come back here to post about this.
thank you for the wonderful look into your life. I am glad family guy gives you pleasure, and I'm glad you find pleasure in insulting this poor girl and my comments about her struggle.

Empathy can devastate. There are times I think being a Sociopath could have its values. I cant imagine the nights at 3 AM for those parents and that child's future. I could have gone all night without reading your post.

It makes you realize how lucky you have things sometimes.

You would cease to be a human being... no feelings.
Life is brutal to some... and to anyone in the blink of an eye.
Pain of empathy is what it is... but ya know it lets you know you are still alive and human after all.
This situation is heartbreaking... sob
A successful face transplant has been done recently. I hope this will be a viable option for this girl.

What the hell are you talking about, no one insulted the girl.
-
I knew of this struggle. the wetmores are what being a parent is ultimately all about. inspite of her physical defects juliana wetmore is actually a blessed child.
while the story is sad it is also inspiring. may god richly bless the wetmore family.

Wow..
I've got this second AH account i'm not using (left it open for months now because a long time ago I used to abuse the 2week trial - I was scrabble bellybutton poor), but I'm going to close it and send the cash their way instead.

well it is a personal issue. I am on prednisone for my disease, and I am lucky I have made it this far without totally exploding. one of the major side effects of the medication is "depression, mania, or other psychiatric symptoms" and the last time I was on it I made a male bank teller cry one day yelling at him for screwing up my bank card. I had him dribbling tears for a few minutes before the manager came over to help out.
You might not see JB73 around the board as much for a while, I might have to cut myself off as I'd be banned if I actually spoke my mind these past few days.

Don't let the idiots run you off JB. It's fairly easy to sit safely behind a keyboard and spout rhetoric to someone that you wouldn't say to their face. You're better than them.
That's a sad story indeed

Sorry to hear you have a medical condition. But I would still tell you to stop being a half man to your face.
I've always said what others would be thinking.

I've Just Seen a Face
by Lennon, McCartney
====
I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
That we'd just met, she's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see we've met
Na na na na na na
Had it been another day
I might have looked the other way
But I had never been aware
And as it is I dream of her tonight
Na na na na na na
CHORUS:
Falling, yes I am falling
And she keeps calling me back again
I have never known
The likes of this, I've been alone
And I have missed things and kept out of sight
But other girls were never quite like this
Na na na na na na
CHORUS
I've just seen a face
I can t forget the time or place
And we'd just met, she's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see we've met
Na na na na na na

Very sad.
Still, being unfettered by some of the more trivial aspects of life helps to keep the more important things in perspective.
