Ladies and Gents,
Please post any criticisms, recommendations or thoughts on the setup this frame below...

From what i noticed, there seemed to be a lack of communication amongst the Allied fighter units. But otherwise all seemed to go nice. Was nice to do FSO again, but i was just lucky enough to have this friday off, wont happen again for a long time!!
-
Stoney I'll pm you.

1. Didn't hear much comms on LOCAL, which I thought unusual... Pleasant, but unusual.
2. Seemed like a few of the Squads weren't following the mapped route in bound to target.
3. Had a blast despite myself. :aok

The moment I stepped into the SEA I was swamped. Several PM's , adding guys back to our squad that were not in uniform due to the Scenario, dealing with a guest that was invited by another member and an old time squadie showed up that was also out of uniform. By the time we rolled we still had two out of uniform. Sorry about that.
Our squad was to defend A18. We were suckered south east thinking the 110's and 109's we found were a main attack force. Since we were in scout mode we could not hit them in force. We lost about 15 pilots. As it turned out I spotted the Ju88 force that was to drop on A18 about 2 sectors out.
Twolf and I spotted a single low dot. Diving to investigate we saw it as a lone 109. After one high speed pass we saw several more much higher. Then moments later I spotted the main attack force. Ju-88's heading North West directly for A18. I headed for the Ju88's but was forced to break twice as the higher 109's were on my six. All the while trying to type on channel 2 about the Ju88's heading to A18. I was hoping at least Ratfink would know about them. I flew right into the center of the JU88's with a 109 on my six. Had to break from two shots and was working on a third when I found myself in the tower. ROC got me. How dismal can it get?

You didn't just mention 'hack' did you.....
Dantoo & JoeJoe: Thanks for the help with the 3v1 situation... dang Spit 1's. Once it was 3v3 they were not too happy and they went down fast.
Overall I had fun, not sure where the 110's we were escorting went too because I discoed (again) and ended up having to roll out late. Got three kills and ended up rearming because there was still about an hour left in the frame. Sure enough I got back up and about 5 minutes out I discoed (again). Was kind of out of the loop the entire time trying to catch up and then when I got there they were all diving to the deck. But, like I said, overall was just fun... :aok

Before this thread derails and gets Skuzzified, lets get back to the topic at hand and not make this a flame war.
splitatom, I would encourage you to read through the rules of the BBS, especially......
"8- Cheating allegations or descriptions are not allowed. Email support@hitechcreations.com to report any issues regarding this. HTC permanently bans anyone caught cheating in Aces High. We take cheating and allegations of cheating very seriously."
Moving on,
The UNFORGIVEN had probably the best time of our FSO career last night. The fights were quick, clean and enjoyable. to the 109's we came up against first, very good fight. And, the stragglers south of A18 in the final 30 minutes, for a well fought resistance. Each time we thought you guys had had enough, you regrouped and started picking at the back of our mixed flight forcing several of us to turn back and engage. This finally allowed you some number on our group and you did well.
Daddog and the rest of the Eastern flank, It is my fault you didn't have enough help over there. I really believed that the bulk of the attack would come from the center and not so far east. In retrospect, I should have had at least one more patrol squad further east to help offset the huge group you encountered.
All in all, Stoney, a great frame. I anticipate a close scoring for Frame 1.

First off, <
> Repoman. <> Allies.
The Axis looked at Frame # 1 as a large challenge…to say the least. Anytime you have one side dedicated attack and one side dedicated defense it is a substantial challenge for the attackers. Throw in the close proximity of the Allied targets and fields, and it made for a very tough hill to climb indeed.
Luftangriff Gelb met stiff and determined resistance 20 miles from target. The AK’s and 65th did a great job getting the force through the first wave of defenders. The JG11 strike element of (6) BF110’s was able to evade and continue toward target. The entire Gelb force than regrouped and continued northwest toward target P107, only to be intercepted again by another large force of Allied planes. Again the Axis fighter escort did an outstanding job of tying up the enemy, while the attack planes again attempted to evade.
We almost made it clear, but then, while somewhat separated from the 109’s, we were again intercepted by two small units of allied fighters, and were boxed in.
All that, before the Friday Night Gremlins reared their ugly heads. Of the (6) Bf110’s making up the Luftangriff Gelb attack package, (2) discoed, (1) crashed during evasive maneuvering (Doh!…that was me), and one fell victim to enemy fighter planes. Unable to even penetrate the English Coastal defenses, the survivors of Gelb turned for France and rearmed at A38 for another strike.
After re-arm we were able to get some penetration, but not nearly enough to make up for the heavy losses inflicted upon us by the initial defending squadrons.
Salute to the Allies for achieving exactly what you needed to achieve, and exactly that, which we attempted through our strategy to deprive you of:
Local Air Superiority!
Nice job all. A tough but fun Frame from this CO’s perspective.

Our pleasure. :)

That's pretty weird, because I only needed 15 canon rounds to saw apart a Spit5...
Were you in convergence range?
Your hand steady?
Lead the target enough?
SEE hit sprites?
Need to answer all those before accusing anyone of hacking.

was much fun first time back in months, forgot how much fun FSO is.
also forgot bout them dang trees and there lethality. need to mount a chainsaw on my planes nose.
-
Please forgive me Stoney but this thread has wandered so far and I am truly guilty of misdirecting it further.
also forgot bout them dang trees and there lethality
Doobs tell me the truth. Had you been drinking? Come on now, fess up!

plead the fifth, and drank one too

Now I'm uncertain if splitatom was talking about me. I have been haveing problems with warping in all the arenas. I have a brand new system and my frame rate is phenomonal, but for some reason my variance and delay looks like an ekg monitor. I apologize to my opponents in all the arenas for this and I am trying to get the cable guys to come out and take a look and see if they can fix my connection problem. Please understand that even though it may be difficult to get a lock on my plane, it's equally difficult for me to get a lock on an enemy plane or target. It's frustrating.
As for scrizzap re-upping after he was shot down, I will look into that personaly. I remember ditching my spit and was back in the tower when I read the text for scrizz wanting to re-up and then he was allowed. I thought he had discod. That is something that I have been doing more often as of late. I will confirm with him what happened and appropriate measures will be be taken.

Most of what I see here are CiC and CO issues.
From what I can tell Fridays FSO was fantastic!
This was Stoney's first FSO as a Admin (event designer). I think it went great.

I was somewhat disappointed with the Hurricane formation on the runway at A18. They were all spread out, very un-RAF-ish, next time please stay neatly lined up on the runway :D
