Title: boars!
Post by: texasmom on November 05, 2007, 08:46:28 PM
Hey, listen, I didn't know they had wild boars here in Texas (I'm not a native Texan, so I'm still learning).  Saw one split in half the other day on the side of the road.   Unbelievable.  Thought I was in Arkansas for a hot minute.

Yeah, they are common, in some areas to the point of being a real nuisance.

WOW! Glad they ain't around here (was traveling a few hours from home when I saw it).

I always tell my boys that if they bring something in the house, I'm cooking it & making them eat it (but was thinking of snakes, frogs, snails, etc).  Would hate to have to skin that thing to keep my word!

They have quite a few around here. Thjey are really making a mess out of a loacl golf course.

There are LOTS of critters around. We have a family of Bobcats that live on the golf course where I play anlong with about 6 or 7 coyotes. The bobcats are a male and female with 4 or 5 cubs. The male is about 50lb's I'd say. HUGE bobcat....seen him about 3 weeks ago.

Hogs can be mean.

Oh, so I guess my term "wild boars" was redundant.  If they're boars, they are wild.  If they're pets, they're neither wild, nor boars?
