The Avengers will be getting together tomorrow night, at around 7 PM Central time, for a few fighter sweep operations. Mostly in honor of me being able to fly again after surgery last week, but partly because I have a couple of new guys that need ran through the ropes in the sim. Hope to see a good crowd on, you guys may be wishing we were carrying bombs by the end of the night.

We had 12 Avengers show up for our little furball event and we all had a great time. It was good to be back in the air after a week off; pain pills didn't seem to help the ACM very much, but had a blast anyway. A big thanks to all that showed up and we'll see you guys tomorrow night for our scheduled Squad Night.

great fights, with respect to clean, what's that?

That only means that there were no "visible" shanks or broken bottles; super job on sneaking them in guys.

Cant say this for everyone, but I, for one, was not a victim of a single HO. One guy made a hell of a deflection shot on me, but whereas many jerks call that an HO, in my eyes it is a great tool that should be used to win a dogfight.
There was, however, lots of gang banging on both sides but hey, with in flight dar, it is the pilots choice to dive into a gang bang situation so all is fair game. Me? I winged up....and the one time I saw a potential gang bang situation, I circled and waited for my wingmen.
That, my friend, is what I meant when I said "clean".
By the way, yes....Trukill is a heck of a talented stick in the arena...betcha he is good at pacman, asteroids and breakout as well!
Cya's tonight.

All in all last night was a fun time. I think over time you guys will develop into a good bunch of sticks (not ment as a put down in anyway). Based on initial observations I'd say some polish on both individual ACM and small group tactics is in order. I do think alot of it is related to whatever the WB's enviornment is/was. Afterall your learning curve is based on the enviornment your in.
As mentioned elsewhere U guys should sign up for FSO. You'd be a very welcome addition...
I'd also suggest some 4 on 4 time in the DA. We (some 71st guys and others) fly alot of historical sets in the DA (109e vs spit I, F4F vs A6M2 etc).
I'm certainly not the best 1 on 1 stick or "dueler" in the AvA (let alone AH) but I can tell you that as a former trainer here that I observed alot of subtle errors in general BFM/ACM. I'd ask the training staff if they could set up a group lesson for you...maybe 2-3 trainers that could work with you guys as a group and give you some overview/observation that each of you can build on. Obviously some things are different and its gonna take time to adapt to FM etc...I think the AH equivelent to a "spring tune up" golf lesson would shave a few strokes off your game.....

Welcome to the AvA arena Subway, we had a great time this evening for our squad night. We managed to take a GV Field and after porking the dar for the entire region were able to run bomber missions against Field 22 for most of the night. There was some good numbers on tonight with stiff opposition as usual. Thanks to all that showed up for our squad night, see y'all next Monday Night.
