Title: Vox transmit causes screen freeze
Post by: Jaxxon on November 09, 2007, 03:20:21 PM
I have my transmit keys mapped to my HOTAS Cougar, one on the stick and one on the throttle. The HOTAS is mapped through AH and not FOXY.
I also use TrackIR 4, which is where this problem becomes a PITA when I'm looking around.
The freeze doesn't occur while I'm transmitting, it only happens when I release the mic button and only lasts for a split second.

It's been suggested that I just shut my mouth ... that aint gonna happen :D

Make sure your sound hardware acceleration is set at 3/4s and not full.

Thanks Balsy but it's set there already.

Make sure your track IR is plugged into its "own" USB, and not shared with another device, especially your HOTAS gear.  If you have  a USB PCI slot card, only have the track IR plugged into it, nothing else.

Do you have onboard sound??? or a separate card? If separate, see if it is sharing an IRQ  with something else...

In the in-game voice options, check the Use Wave In box. I think that's what it is.
