Title: changing pointer in game
Post by: Black Jack on November 12, 2007, 06:13:11 AM
The default pointer in windows is the white arrow pointing up. I changed it into a small crossairs hoping that it would be the same in AH. I would like to use it as a reference point in the game but for some reason it does not change in AH. It stays as the default windows pointer. Anybody knows how to change the default pointer in the game itself? Tks

/.s there should be a bitmap file of the cursor used in ah in your ah folder just edit it with paint and it should change to what u want . windows has nothing to do with the cursor in ah
my .02 cents lol

The game cursor is actually a 16x16 bitmap in your Aces High II folder called cursor.bmp.  Magenta is its transparent color.  If back up that image, and replace it with your own 16x16 bitmap with the same transparent color, it should work.

the in game cursor also has to be a 256 color image, 8 bit.

if you lose it, the game may act really funny. IIRC in the past a bad cursor file would become a giant 1024x1024 white square, with the top left corner being the "clickable" part.
