Why your wording is important:

With the economic problems his company was facing, the department director had to lay off one employee from his section.  It came down to Susan and Jack.

Both were great employees and he could not find a fair way to decided.  He debated flipping a coin or drawing a name out of a hat.  The final decision was whoever went to the water cooler first tomorrow he would fire.

So the next morning rolled around.  Susan, after a long night of partying, went to the water cooler with a bottle of aspirin.

The boss walks over and says, "Susan, I hate to do this, but I either have to lay you or Jack off."

Susan replies, could you just jack off, I feel like crap today.

Teaches you to be very careful how you word things.  This should be in every personnel manual at every company in the country.
