Title: Big Maps AND Small Maps
Post by: Morpheus on November 13, 2007, 04:05:43 PM
Not sure if this has been gone over before, forgive me, I have been gone for quite some time and have been out of the loop in many aspects of the game but...

If... We must have a huge map to spread people out for the sake of taking bases. Then can we also have a small map up at the same time? When I came back after almost a year of being away it was pretty nice... Lots of fights/furballs and one didnt' have to look too hard to find one. Now with both MA's consisting of large maps its back to searching for a fight before the hangers get dropped or what have you...

So, two MA's one small map one big map? Please.

Thanks.

I think that might be both difficult to implement and cause unforeseen difficulties.

In part, I think that because the 2 arena's seem to share the same rotation, and it doesn't seem like it's an easy thing to even have both not end up on the same map at the same time.

And in part because if one is designated as a small map arena and the other is designated as a large with their own seperate rotations, then whichever is more popular is going to cause 10 times the usual complaints when it's full up and people can't get in, since that will be seen as "unfair".

Map rotations can and have been different in both LW arenas.

ROFL... Why? Unfair because the tool sheders can't milk each MA equally?

simple solution... make an arena with small map rotation with a capped arena for those who like arena caps, have the other uncapped with large map

I was thinking the same thing,  especially since the LW arena caps both rise in increments.

I like both the big and small maps depending on my mood, and how much time i feel like logging in.

With the small maps it's easier to spot what's going on, on all fronts, and easier to find a fight.

With the big maps, you can still pretty much find a fight, but sometimes the fronts will rotate around and you have to zoom out and look for the dars.
I have noticed alot more NOE missions with the big maps though.
