Why did your pick your names? I've been wondering about this... Does it have something to do with personality? I have an Idea on why HiTech picked his, but for the others, I havn't a clue...

Personally I hate my gamdid, but don't want to change it because I will lose the few perks I have.
SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) is my first passion. I am one of the worker volunteers that make the race happen. I use it a lot in emails, message boards and the like. When I was asked to create a gameid, it seemed like a logical choice. Once I started flying, I realized that there was VOX in the game and people have to say my name. I get all kinds of adaptations. My squad calls me Skah because the CO didn't like to sing out the letters.
I think that answers your question..

That's nice, but what the hell is a gamdid?

Yep, it's a shame that most of the pics are gone. Some of the pics had me crying because I was laughing so hard.

Well the spell checker works. Now all you need is a correct word picker. :D

Got mine the same way. At my last job my boss, who is still a good friend, gave me this name. He called it my ThunderCats name.
(Now how many of you know that reference?)

I see.. The question was posed to the company employees, not the general game population. Sorry for the intrusion.
Admins, all my posts in this thread can be deleted as it's too late for me to do it.
Sorry again Donzo, I clearly missed the point of the post..

So how about Skuzzy and the rest of the gang?

Got tagged with the nick name in high school. Later, while at Tandy, I did a proposal for an intelligent SCSI host adapter. Tandy was not interested in doing it.
Sought out this little company looking to get Tandy's business named Adaptec. Sold them on the idea, provided them with the design. Got Tandy to buy it, got SCO to natively support it and then went to work for Adaptec.
The nick was resurrected at Adaptec. I figured if it was going to keep following me around I might as well adopt it.
It was the AHA-1540 adapter.
Edit: It took me all but 30 seconds to search, find, and post that quote :)
