why is it that halo3 took 2 years to develope and has over 15 accesible vehicles, and this game with a lower resolution has been online for 10 years and has developed what ammounts to 3 vehicles a year?
is the staff smaller, or is the game less funded?
-
Yes and yes.:aok
-
just as a question, what would it take per person to have 3 aircraft per year instead of 2?
and would 500$ get us closser to an a26 and a p39?
-
Stephen, Learn The planes we friggin have. Stop whining about you being able to fly anything in the current plane set. HTC is putting almost all there time and effort on CT at the moment, and many people can't wait until we get it. So learn what we have now, and don't make another thread of this, or i'm gonna lose it.

Hmmm, let's see Halo3 produced by a subsidiary of the largest software company in the world....Oh, and by the way the same company produced the platform that the game is played on.
...and a small shop with a couple of programers, and a couple of art designers, who by the way are also building a different version of their game to run on a miryid of hardware and operating systems.
Yep, apples to apples that one is.

ahh yes, a company that is required to come out with a FULL game every two years,, not every ten, game, set and match my friend :aok

Ok, 1 your out of your mind, or 2 your just a troll, for your sake I really hope it's 2.
HTC is a company of about 6 guys total, if that even, who like Murdr mentioned is right now in the middle of developing an entire new version of the game called Combat Tour. Yeah this company is comparable to Microsoft.

Couple points for Stephen.
#1, Learn to fly the ones we have.
What is your AcesHigh InGame I.D.? I am curious how "Well" you fly what you have been given. (I never understood people posting w/o givin' the I.D. they fly under)
Didn't AH launch "officially" in 12/00?
We'll call it 7 yrs.
I count 88 planes and vehicles.
That would be over 12 a year on avg.
This past year we got what... two spits, a sherman, and a b25?
That's 4 this year.
Stephen, can you get ANY facts straight?
-
actually, we got 2 b25's (evewn though noone uses the c)

Not exactly. We got "only" the Sherman Firefly and the B-25's.
The new Spits were introduced 2 years ago, along with the 109G-14.
-
Didn't they re-work the f4u models and the terrain as well?
Either way, here, i believe it's quality over quantity.
And as mentioned already, Combat Tour is the companies main focus right now and was stated in a post a while back. I beleive they said once it's up and running, they would be able to dedicate there time to work on MA stuff.
For such a small staff i think that they're doing an outstanding job.

take Windows Vista for instance :)

:O NOOOOOOO. I can't believe you forgot about the lil jeep! Have you never heard of the famous (or infamous) Jeep raid? :D

I wish anyone who mentioned Halo or any other Microcrap produced games was taken out back and beat with a garden hose.

I hereby vote for Stephen to fund all future plane development. $500/week ought'a be a good start.
<------ Send it this way and I'll make sure it gets in the hands of HT.

Might want to recheck the scoreboard. There appears to be an outstanding number of penalty calls on you.

Lets see Stephen
Halo... you have to buy a copy for 50 to 60 bucks to try it out and play off line
AH... you get the full version of the game free for two weeks and can play it off line the rest of your life.
AH - 35 to 45 cheaper than Halo
Halo... Gold membership 15 a month
AH ... Gold membership 15 a month (unless you live in Texas)
Even
Halo... if they upgrade the game every two years you get to buy a new copy
AH... when they upgrade the game regularly you get the upgrade free
AH - again 35 to 45 cheaper than Halo
Halo-- produced and marketed by one of the largest companies in the world
AH.. produced and marketed by a small outfit in Texas
Ummmmm.... I think AH kind of wins this one. Be patient my friend the staff of AH is always working to enhance your gaming experience and all they ask is a tiny donation of $15 a month. However, should you wish to send them the extra money I do believe that Mr. Hitech himself enjoys a good scotch and I'm pretty sure he and the rest of the staff appreciate a fine pizza.
