Awesome film, probably one of the best I've seen. Kept me interested through the whole 17 minutes.

I find it heartening that people are still enjoying this film more than a year after I made it. :)

Your movie is an instant classic, Viking!
The cockpit and close in plane views make it very immersive, where others don't. The fights are well filmed, and the detail is amazing. Like the smoke rolling over the cowling and canopy in the FM-2 fight. Plus, the Ki-84 fight is just plain sweet.
Top it off with flying my favorite plane set, and you've got me Brother!:aok
Yours is probably the film that hooked me into playing.

I'm honored. :)

Viking, you better fess up, or I'll...
-
Fess up? What do you want to know?

great film, bf109f is my plane of choice

It is the first film I send to my friends and co-workers in an effort to get them to try AH2.
It's also one of the ones I watch when I am too drunk to fly but still smart enough to not post my opinions on the forums.:D

Hey Viking, i got a question for ya. How did you do the slow mo action? Did you use film viewer or some other program. When i try to slow down the frames with the slider in film viewer, while im converting to avi, it doesnt slow down it just stops the video and wont go into slow mo :(.

Not seen it but it's absolutly brilliant :]
Another film to check out is called "The Kinslayer" and it's by Cooley on Youtube, it's a Spitfire vs a 109F and it's a brilliant fight, strongly encourage people to check that one out too :]

In O.S.G.I. everything was recorded at 10% of normal speed and at 25 fps. I didn't use the AVI export because it is crap. I used FRAPS; an ingenious little program that allows you to directly record the DirectX stream. You can use it to record all DirectX based games.
http://www.fraps.com/
It is $37 for a full version, but the demo version allows you to make (i think) 30 second recordings for free.
As I said earlier I recorded everything at 10% speed. Afterwards I increased the speed to normal in Adobe Premiere using frame-blending to create a motion blur effect and smooth out the typical jerkiness of the film player recording (there is something not quite right with the way the player averages between position updates). The slow-motion scenes are in fact the actual speed I recorded. Took a bit of time, but it was worth it. :)

i got fraps but what is O.S.G.I?
