Is something I'll never have.

We are finally getting the first information on what season tickets will cost in the new Cowboys Stadium.
For a seat on the 5 (FIVE) yard line: $340 a game (obligated to buy 10 which includes two pre-season games.) But, wait, in order to have that "right" to buy those tickets, you'll have to buy a $16,000 seat option. "That payment gives you the 30-year rights to own, transfer or sell the seats."
And, get this, seat options range in price depending on how good the seat is. They range from $16,000 to (gulp) $150,000!!!!
Sheesh, how much will parking be?

I wonder how long before the seat options and tickets show up on Ebay...
-
Wait isn't the "selling or buying of ones seats" considered to be Prostitution in some States?
:huh

Looks like the time has come for a Minor league like baseball has.
350 per seat per game?
The only ones that will ever be able to go to games are those very stupid in what they spend their money on, the very rich, or corperations.
Your average Joe. whom bar FAR make up the largest single population of the fan base. Will never be able to afford to take their kid to a game.
Prices like that are a slap in the face to the average fan

Just paid $107 for Upper Level End Zone at Heinz Field for this Monday Night.
Sat one row ahead last year in December in the freezing bellybutton cold for $119, but I had fun. Great view.

that cowboy football field cost one billion dollars, you can pay your money for the seat and buy the high priced hot dogs and drinks and see part of the game or you can stay home, watch it on TV and see the whole game for free.

...with far better LazyBoy seating, no line at the bathroom, no limit on the beer quantity/brand you can have, much better BBQ and all the instant replay you care to consume courtesy of the DVR.
The stadiums have become the habitue of fools.

Eh, it's the Cowboys. No sweat off my back. You guys raised this 'Baby Huey', now you have to take care of the little monster you guys made.
How 'bout them ¢owboy$, indeed.

Did I mention being able to zip through the various delays like time outs for commercial breaks simply by starting to watch the recorded game about an hour or two after it actually starts?

Two weeks ago, I went to the WVU vs Louisville game...Greatest Football Game I have ever seen. Well, I take that back... I went to the WVU vs Rutgers Game last year...Triple Overtime win for the Mountaineers. That was the greatest game ever.
It might be a costly venture, but nothing beats going to the games. I know I am going to spend a lot of money, and I am going to enjoy spending it. It sucks that people think that spending money on such things is a waste, these are usually the people in life that don't enjoy life itself.

season tickets = eight games, not counting the "pre-season games".:lol

I just spent my going to football game money on a 3 week pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota with my son, my brother, good friends and my beloved Labradors.
That same son played D I football; I attended those games although I had to travel halfway across the country. I would do that again.
But to watch players to whom I have no emotional attachment? Nah, I'd much rather go pheasant hunting.
I guess I just don't enjoy life, eh?

How'd you do Toad??
Heading out to Russell this weekend for Turkey Day on the farm...spending a couple of days there...
Taking the guns. The boys are excited!! Wife...not so much :)
-
Well, I'm glad you had fun Toad. As for me I'm young and i guess i still enjoy spending money on less valuable memories. But I still have fun doing it :)

String, it was South Dakota.
The entire group limited out every day, no matter how many people were in the group that day. Best day, 5 of us limited (3 each) in less than an hour. Worst day, 8 of us took 5 hours to limit. There were birds in every field though; the days it took a long time, some of the folks weren't hitting is all.
It's different, that's for sure.

I've had season tickets at Texas stadium for the last 14 seasons on the 50 yard line cowboys side, 14 rows up from the field. I cannot justify that kind of money for the new stadium...
