Fooled around with 3 screenshots and Photoshop.

Made some hard filtering and colour adjustments, maybe I've overdone it, but I kinda like it.

Native resolution 1280 x 1024

Wow man, those are really nice, IMO.

Are those terrain textures/colors part of what you photoshopped, or part of the High Res Texture pack I haven't installed?

You cant see it in the picture, but the Spitfire was at 20k.. I dived on the 109, forgetting to turn WEP off, and quickly reached speeds in excess of 600 IAS. The Spit pilot cleverly trimmed up, but soon blacked out, and when he regained conciousness he found that his weak little Spitty wings had broken off, and he was plummeting to the ground.
 Im serious. It all happened.

I use the hi-res pack, but I'm not sure if it affects scenery - I think its aimed at planes and vehicles?

But before I take the screenshots I max every graphics setting in AH and my graphic cards driver, it gives me miserable framerates, but good screenshot material to photoshop.

Hirestex does not affect ground textures.
