Title: Bombs not exploding...

While attacking with a 110, w/ full bomb load, I released first 2 bombs with good hits and explosions...  On second and third passes, switched to remaining 4 bombs, with releases well above 1000' ft...  Bombs released, could hear bomb whislte, but no explosion and nothing on the ground whatsoever!!  I've tried this in all the arenas, even just releasing the bombs @ 2000' ft, and still, no explosions or strikes at all...  Even had squaddies circling high and low watching, and they too reported nothing at all, but did see the bombs release from the aircraft...

Any ideas?????????

Did you send in the film? I thought this only happened to bombers in offline or h2h mode.

i've noticed that when i hit a FH, for example, if i get a direct hit, i don't see any crater. then when enough ord is dropped on it (3k lbs) it goes boom. you might just be hitting your target and need a few more bombs.

That's it, precisely. Those LW 50kg bombs can't take out a town building. You need to salvo 2 at a time.

Otherwise you can keep hitting over and over. I was in a Ju88 with 20x 50kg practicing once. I dropped a single bomb and it wouldn't blow up a building. I dropped another on the same building, still nothing. The bomb blast radii overlap and reinforce the damage being done. You can drop 2 separately and they won't blow it, but you can drop 2 at the same time and they WILL blow it. THEN you'll see the crater.


I believe if they hit open ground they *should* produce craters, though.

You guys are silly!!!  The REAL story is he went to 7-11 to get a slurpy..

Yup, direct hits don't show a crater..

After you drop two of the 50kg eggs shoot a bit with your guns and it will go down.  2 of the 50kg eggs comes out to about 220lbs.  Won't take much really to finish is.  Hangers you will need a lot more...:aok
