Title: Bios won't recognize IDE
Post by: Getback on November 21, 2007, 10:48:55 PM
After building my new computer, I can't get the bios to recognize the ide drives. I need those to load windows.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Double check your jumper settings on the drives, and make sure you have the master and slave setup properly.

Tried that, went from CS to CS then used Master & Slave, neither configuration worked.

Welp, I got it to working. None of these solutions will make me look good though. It was either I didn't connect correctly (when I pulled on it just a tad the mb connection fell out) or it was a bad cable. I replaced the cable at the same time.

Appreciate the help.

Welcome to the Club!

:)

Can't remember how many times, I've done that, myself!
