Okay, somebody had to renew the classic Thanksgiving thread.
My answer? Lots of things -- life, parents, love, family, friends, blessings, challenges, but if I have to choose one, probably my wife. Nicest person I've ever met. Always has wanted nothing more than the best for everyone. A genuine angel on Earth.
Dad warned her I "was not the easiest person to live with," but fortunately she was up to the challenge and married me anyway. May each of you have someone like her in your life.

There are many things, sometimes I think too many to simply count.
First off is my wife, she's still alive with me and that issue was in serious doubt 7 years ago.
We are living a great lifestyle with no fixed location and the ability to go where and when we want. Money is tight but that was an issue but we knew about that when she took early retirement. We couldn't wait for "someday".
My son is healthy and exercising his mind in college. The 9 grandkids (wifes side) are all doing well and healthy. We get a kick out of visiting them each year. They really are great fun!

I am thankful for the health of my family.
I am thankful I have employment that has kept my family fed, a roof over their heads and clothes on their back.
I am thankful that I was able to give my sons a good education.
I am thankful that I live in the USA, a truely great country where I enjoy the benefits of freedom and liberty, excellant healthcare, education and the best steakhouses. :)
I am thankful for all those who gave their lives to secure our freedom and liberty, and those who have come along afterwards to defend that freedom, often paying the ultimate price.

No question.... my wife.
My answer might have been a little different 3 years ago, but 2 years ago my wife went through a life threatening illness. She recovered, and I got hit in the face with the reality that there is NOTHING in the world more important to me than she is. Guys , let your wife know every day how much you appreciate her. She can be taken from you in a moment.
