Title: Freezes while doing the cache
Post by: gooe07 on November 22, 2007, 01:47:33 PM
I just downloaded AH2 on to my comp. I also got the XP core2 duo update. When I start AH it just freezes while it is doing the cache. Is there any way for me to change the video settings?
I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it to no avail.
Thank you

deleting the video.cfg files in the aces high folder will force the game to reset the video. You can then reset to lower settings and such and retry the cache.

If you still have trouble, run the DXdiag and post the first third here. You should get some responses on what you could tweak.

I got the game to load, but now when I am no any screen, 1) there is a sound that sounds like a diesel engine running, and 2) it looks as if a piece of paper is spinning around the clip board. And i dont see a cockpit in a plane, its just a constant spinning motion.
I tried to run the Div9X thing but it does not open anything when I click on it. It seems i am up a creek. Any help is appreicated.

open windows explorer, navigate to the aceshigh.exe, right click and select properties. Under the compatibility tab, select run in WIN98, and click ok. Try the game again.
