I have a new gateway machine and a headset mic I bought for it. I cannot for the life of me get the mic to record anything. I have run through the options on the system tray sound icon. I also have run through the options in the control panel with the Realtek sound setup. Cannot record a thing!
Could it be that my board is just not full duplex?
Thanks.

Nevermind I seem to have gotten it to work :)

I can get the sound recorder in windows to work now, but when I press 't' in game and try to talk to myself, I get a looping recording of the first part of what I said into the mic. Any clue?

probably feedback from your speakers / headphones back into the mic.
