as previewed on the drudge....
http://www.drudgereport.com/flash9pb.htm
some excerpts:
• Pax Americana, the era of U.S. global dominance, is over. A struggle for global hegemony has begun among the United States, China, a resurgent Russia and radical Islam
• Bush’s invasion of Iraq was a product of hubris and of ideology, a secular religion of “democratism,” to which Bush was converted in the days following 9/11
• Torn asunder by a culture war, America has now begun to break down along class, ethnic and racial lines.
• The greatest threat to U.S. sovereignty and independence is the scheme of a global elite to erase America’s borders and merge the USA, Mexico and Canada into a North American Union.
• Free trade is shipping jobs, factories and technology to China and plunging America into permanent dependency and unpayable debt. One of every six U.S. manufacturing jobs vanished under Bush
====
Yep, sounds about right, far as I see things.

Yeah, but China lends USA billions of dollars every day so they can wage war...No coincidence all this unsafe krap is being imported..it started bout the same time.

Pat can be a sharp cookie sometimes.
-
Old Pat is making a lot of sense these days.
It may be populist and protectionist, but frankly the non billionaires among us need some of that given the shift towards "globalization" based not on fair trade, but on managed unfair trade to benefit the few.
Or, we just formally incorporate Mexico and Canada as territories on their way to statehood. I bet the Mexicans and Canadians might disagree though :)

Don't forget we import 60% of our oil from Canada.
-
Pat has always made a lot of sense, met him when he was running for president in front of a textile mill that used to employ 2,000 people at its height. there are now 15 such mills in my county - ALL shut down.
-

That's why I don't have a problem with the whole 51-54th state thing (or how ever many you need to fill out the map :) All that oil sand too...

while I generally disagree with pat, there are some points which are inevitable, one being a merging of north america and the caribbean basin along the lines of a north american union. were this to occur it would be at the expense of the united states and canadian taxpayers as we drag mexico kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

It's going to happen one way or another, but we wont be dragging Mexico into it right away. The only way we are going to compete with China and the EU in the future is if have a American Union with Canada and the US.
Mexico's time will come but not anytime soon. In reality had we had half a brain we would have been shipping our outsourcing to Mexico rather than China. That way we could have helped build the Mexican economy into something worth while.
We could have killed a few birds with one stone had we pushed most of out outsourcing to Mexico. It would have let us keep more control on it and would likely help out greatly with the illegal immigration issues.
The Mexicans just need jobs, if they had them in Mexico they wouldn't need to come here.
-
you going to compare the average mexican worker to the average chinese?
if you do, then you will see why it was not outsourced there .. I think we "outsourced" all the jobs the average mexican can handle thus our illegal problem.

look guys, I watch the spanish cable program here and I cant speak a word of spanish. Its the babes man. I think those mexican babes are simply outstanding. I am definately pro mexbabe here.

Actually, their width is in direct proportion to the amount of offspring they produce. My wife is hispanic, 38 yrs old, no kids, and still is a hot chica.

Pat Buchanan explains Ron Paul’s foreign policy to Glenn Beck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3q7TxZjJas)
there's no reason why Europe, the richest continent on the earth, after the Cold War is over and the Soviet Union doesn't exist cannot provide the troops for its own defense. Why are we defending South Korea 50 years after the Korean War with 30,000 American troops on their border when they've got twice the population and 40 times the economy of North Korea? Take the 30,000 Americans off THEIR border and put them on OUR border. What happens in our south west is far more important than what happens in South Korea.
