Title: Restrictions on LVT's, PT's

If you kill all fighter hangars on a base you cannot up fighters. If you kill a soft gun, the gun is down for 15 minutes. If you down a VH, vehicles are disabled.

Why can't you disable PT boats and LVT's from CV groups?

A few days ago the whole Bish country was trying to capture a port. Unfortunately, the rooks had their whole country tyring to defend it. Everytime we would down the CV and the VH at the same time, our efforts were thwarted by LVT's and PT's spawning right at the port. They were in full visual range of the maproom. Now, I don't blame them at all for doing this. They were just playing the game. Letting the CV go, was not an option. Since, they were upping left and right to capture the airbase nearby.

In my mind if PT's and LVT's could have been disabled we would have captured that base.

Hmm. Sounds like a lot of fun. I see no problem, unless your one of those "win the war!!!!!11!!" people.

It seems like a good idea.Ive seen a few times a CV go down and the task group is close to land so LVT's spawn feet dry to down.What I have seen is that if town's down and the CV's down people will spawn LVT's let troops out and just bail.In no time with only three or four people their could be over 100+ troops running on the ground.

Yea Vans...I've seen that too.

Could HTC add a seperate amphibious ship(s)?
If the crusier and carrier are down, should that disable PT's and LVT's?

Any other ideas...?

I totally phrased that wrong. Read the edited post. I enjoy this game. Taking bases and flying with squaddies is what makes this game fun for me. To each their own...right?

I love it when the CV goes down and many people up LVT's. Lots of easy kills :t

Maybe add another ship that it made just for LVT's make it as strong as a CV or a little less.If you sink that ship,you disable the LVT's.It would be more real,the LVT's were carried in ships then before the took off into battle.

Then I wouldnt be able to spawn an LVT at the beach just to shoot at all the enemy planes flying around after the CV dies :cry

Would HTC add the LVT carrier vessel before or after he got rid of dive bombing heavy bombers or the gamey, now general, suicider mentality?

I do believe bish had a GV spawn to port P61.  LVT's woulda been lunch to a couple of nicely placed tanks.

If you kill all ships in a CV group you cannot up LVTs from where it was.
The port where the CV group came from is still there...well, maybe.

The ghost of the original CV still exists. It doesn't matter how many escort ships you kill, the CV group will be there 10 minutes after the CV goes down.

Raptor has already designed that ship and it is on one of his terrains.

Agreed. Should limit the amount of troops 1 person can drop?

Then make it where heavy bombers cannot kill a cv only jabos and sbd's and the equivilant of such.

YES!
And it would give the enemy another objective to accomplish while defending a base.
