Title: 353rd FG P51C Mustang info
Post by: Guppy35 on November 27, 2007, 11:08:17 PM
OK here ya go.

Bellied in after the engine quit due to fuel starvation on May 2, 1945.

The Little Friends website lists the pilot as Lt. John E Davenport

It was bellied in by Lt Henry Pletz.

It is definately a combat bird and the clues are easy to spot.  It has tail warning radar installed.  The photo on Little Friends shows it with 108 gallon DTs.  It has a letter not a number as the War Weary's had.

It would be a great addition to the AH B/C Ponies.

Note the hand painted 363 on the rudder.

The bellied in shot
