...when one goes through their webspace.
Sitting here at work with not a whole lot going on, so I'm going through my webspace and found some stuff from an aborted SciFantasy story/combat simulator I'd toyed with. Thought I'd share.
The whole design concept would have been WWII in space, though in some places clearer than other. I never got very far with design in total, but did get through a couple concepts.
F4A-12 Wildcat

Main front-line starfighter for the good guys (Earth Confederate). The Wildcat is an aging design, but tough and highly agile. Originally armed with twin coilguns in the nose, later designs (of which I don't have images) incorporated three repeating plasma guns in each wing, with the nose occupied by fuel and generator systems.

Maneuverability was achieved by a combination of vector thrust ducts and exhaust nozzles on the engine nacelles. A complex flight-control system featuring automatic coordination of vectoring and braking would allow the ship to "fly" as if it were an atmospheric fighter.
Kyushu-class Battleship
(http://saxman.xwlegacy.net/images/FinalProphecy/Kyushu/KyushuSide.jpg)
An aging fleet battleship, the Kyushu-class was designed with a heavily reinforced, extended bow ram.

Same ventral.

A feature of older starships would have been exposed engine nacelles.

Mars-class Battleship
(http://saxman.xwlegacy.net/images/FinalProphecy/Mars/Mars.JPG)
The newest and largest conventional warship in the Confederate navy. Designed with a mirrored dorsal and ventral superstructure for redundancy.
Note the enclosed engine nacelles.

Superstructure detail. I never finished the Mars-class, which is why the small defense batteries are non-existant.
Trafalgar-class Battleship
(http://saxman.xwlegacy.net/images/FinalProphecy/Trafalgar/Trafalgar.JPG)
At 9.6km the largest warships in the Confederate fleet. They were designed primarily for smashing an enemy battle-line.
The largest weapon of any ship in the fleet. The bow was mounted with a massive beam cannon, designed to be capable of sawing through any potential opponent. The heavily armored wedge-shaped forward hull provides clearance for almost the ship's entire forward weapons array (yes, borrowed intentionally from the Imperial Star Destroyer. However there's only so many ways to DO this functionality). Owing to the size of the vessel, the Trafalgar is, more appropriately, armed along the lines of an Age of Sail ship of the line.

Dorsal superstructure. Note that these turrets are the same as the main turrets on the Mars

Stern, showing additional aft defenses. The armor shield on either side of the engine module is of the same thickness as the bow armor.

Closeup of the dorsal gun ports and the massive cannonades. These immense guns were designed primarily for orbital bombardment, and bombardment of stationary facilities.

Later concepts would have been a more garden trowell-shaped bow to make it somewhat less Star Destroyer-ish

Very nice man.
I'm jealous of your skills :P
I can't draw a stick-figure if my life depended on it and I suck so bad at math even 6th graders roll their eyes when I attempt long division. But I have so many freaking good ideas for online games its just not funny. All in me head.. unable to make them real. Unless I win the lotto and can hire people to make them for me.
ill be in my corner...crying.

No "I Brake for moose" sticker on the back of the battleship?

Take a peak at Targetware, a mod called Target X you just might be the man!

No missile launchers? Looks like a lot of projectile weapons but nothing for a "smart" weapon like a seeker missile.
The art does look good.

General concept would be that countermeasures have developed to where guided weaponry are generally ineffective. Weapons systems on space vessels would consist of plasma-energy cannons (generator-powered on larger vessels. Weaponry in starfighters like the Wildcat would be powered by storage cells) and unguided self-propelled and momentum ordinance.
Never had a chance to develop ground vehicles, but personal side and longarms would consist of some sort of more traditional chemical-burning self-contained cartridge. Heavier squad-level weaponry (roughly equivilant to the M2 .50cal) would be rail or coilguns. Once you start getting into light and heavy artillery you would then see terrestrial plasma-energy arms.
