Title: Shore Battery
Post by: Raptor on December 01, 2007, 01:38:08 PM
Us terrain folk wish the Shore battery were separate from the hill it sits on! Perhaps the current version with it on a hill and a second version with it separate?

And if that is possible, why not separate the actual gun from the concrete building as well. The Gun alone would create some nice possibilities ;)

We COULD embed one in a cliff if that hill/cement building were not attached. While we're at it can we separate the field ack from those hill/dig-in areas?:D

And how about a shore battery *without* a limited field of fire?

If a coastal gun emplacement is supposed to protect a base, it's a mistake to artificially limit the azimuth.

Why not have a coastal gun mounted in something that looks like a naval turret, with a 360-degree view?

One of the maps used in AvA had 3 8 inch batteries on the Vehicle bases. It would be cool to "File 13" our current V base and use that one instead.
