Title: AH Heisman Poll
Post by: Shuckins on December 02, 2007, 10:40:41 PM
The announcement of the winner takes place on Wednesday.  The polls I've seen so far indicate that it will be the closest race in history.  Less than 10 votes separate McFadden and Tebow in one of them.

How about voting in an informal poll of our own?  Who do you want to see take the trophy home?  Not who you think will win it, but who you think actually deserves it.

My vote....McFadden:  because he's already bettered last year's stats while playing two less games.  With 167 yards in the Cotton Bowl, he will best Herschel Walker's single-season rushing record.

Ray Rice.

In spite of playing for an easily arguabley downgraded team from last year due to graduation players. Most noticably loosing lead blocker Brian Lenard

Still had a hell of a year. Averaging 5.0 per carry for 1,732 yards and 20 TDs
Including  good games against 2 top  25 teams
142 vrs West Va
181 vrs So Fla (then ranked #2)

this is for the best player this year so my vote would go to
Tebow. He has played hands down the best this year.

20+ TDs  Passing and Rushing,  cant compete with that.
more TDs then most teams in the top 10.

Dennis Dixon.  Why you wonder, because he was able to work the Duck offense like magic even with it decimated by injuries at all positions.  Hell, he ran in a 40 yard touchdown with a blown ACL before his knee sideslipped later in the quarter.  The first full game he missed after his injury the Ducks didn't score a single point, the first time that's happened in over 20 years.  He played for the first nine games of the season and proved himself as much as if he had played the full year.
